Getting an international editing gig (US) and international writing gig (UK) in the same month. It comes at a valuable time for me - I was having a crisis of confidence. A colleague of mine has recently sold her debut novel for seven figures, whereas I haven't even finished mine yet due to maternity leave, sick leave, mental health issues getting a stranglehold over me etc. - and I was feeling like an absolute piece of s***, wondering why I bothered to keep going with it all. But now I'm reminded that I do have talent and that my time will come - it's just gunna take a bit longer to get to the finish line, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Seven figures for a debut novel? Bloody hell!
A friend of mine now writes for the Myanmar Times (Burma).
She seems quite passionate about the goings on over there and recently had a front page story.
Good luck with your gigs.

How has that paper changed since the elections? When I was over there (before elections) it rivalled The Australian for the most blatant propaganda rag I'd ever seen

I have no idea about the nature of the Myanmar Times, I'd never heard of it until recently.
