For those in the building game may chuckle at this......unless you are a painter......

my place of employment is a large home builder within this state and as a result we get many various fruit loops/idiots/instant experts through our doors. Any way this one particular bright spark thought it would be a fantastic idea on a visit to his new home just before lock up let his kids loose with Artline permanent markers on his newly lined internal walls. Since he saw his children having so much fun in their artistic element he joined in on the act and proceeded to add personal touches to the majority of the rooms in his new home.

The site supervisor goes to the house and finds this artistic masterpiece and calls the bloke for only him to openly admit that his family were behind it all.

Only thing is that permanent markers leach through paint champ

In the last house I built I spotted that they were about to put the bathroom in the wrong corner when I saw where they'd put the floor - apparently the on site supervisor couldn't read the plans very well.
And I caught them about to put down badly cupped floorboards they'd left out in the rain, when I'd put up a shed first so they didn't have to do that.
They said they'd be OK when sanded but the inspector from the timber industry didn't agree.

It would have been a very expensive disaster for them if I hadn't been on site checking, because I'd have taken them to court, not accepted the stuff ups.
As it was they tried to tell me I should pay for the extra work to fix it and I withheld the final payment until we had negotiated a settlement - which we did sitting in the court as they tried to bluff it out.
Presumably they get away with that often enough to think it is worth doing.

This from the Northern Territory News.... I'm such a child sometimes !!

A WOMAN stripped off naked in front of dozens of people having breakfast at a popular Darwin restaurant yesterday.
Witnesses said the woman took off all her clothes after she and another woman had a full-on fist fight over a man.

"That was just a shocker," eyewitness Fernando Dentes, 34, said. "People were trying to eat." Police said a 39-year-old woman had to be picked up from the median strip on Dick Ward Drive after she bared all in front of the Cool Spot Cafe in Fannie Bay.

The patrons were reportedly unimpressed.

Children were rushed inside the venue and police were called to escort the naked woman away.

The woman was lying naked on the ground smoking a cigarette in full view of customers at the restaurant.
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Ahh like SJabber I've enjoyed the Cool Spot a few times, nice place actually - super view over to Mandorah.

True story seven years ago I was driving home along Dick Ward dve after cricket training and as I approached Totem rd - (the bottom part of Coconut grove) all the traffic was slowing down. Walking up the middle of the road was a country man - in all his glory walking towards Nightcliff (probably the Kalaluk community in behind the Nightcliff shops). Meh, was the attitude of everyone driving - he wasn't hurting anyone jsut enjoying the cool dry season after breeze drifting through his pubes....

Also saw the equivalent of two brown orbes in Alice Springs as I stood outside the equivalent of the SACA offices at Adelaide Oval with the Cricket DO whilst a country women lifted her skirt up and then squatted as she laid a #2 in behind the oval fence behind the goals. She then preceeded to sue thebottom of her skirt as crap file and then walked off casually....

Yep she's a bit different up there....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

My best mate can't stand politics and gave me the strangest look when I said I was going to watch the election. To annoy her, I asked who she was voting for and why - she said 'Um, Gill...ard? Is that right? Because Tony Abbott's eyes are creepy.'

Mr McSpaz. Today he had a session with his teammates at the Aldinga pub and I must say I am finding his conversation much more funny than I did last night - amazing what a bit of sleep can do. ;) He has just asked me: 'Naracoorte. Is that where the Tantanoola Tiger is?' Me: 'No, Tantanoola is where the Tantanoola Tiger is.' Mr McSpaz: 'Oh, yes. That would make sense.'

Using the word "brave" to describe a loss.

A loss, is a loss, is a loss.

Brave...
