So many questions.

So many questions.

1) To be honest, it might be only one or two tubes worth, depending on the breeding (if mum and dad were champions, price goes up)

2) Tank might be the size of one of those milk doovies you throw the balls into at the show, if that.

3) I believe it's frozen (like cryogenically, or whatever the word is) but not sure if this makes it last longer. Assuming it would - it's just like freezing sperm and embryos for a human.

4) Was anyone actually meant to answer those questions seriously?

does the fact you answered those questions, seemingly with some confidence, make you the forums resident bull semen expert???

This was in a Roald Dahl book so you might want to take it with a pinch of salt, but there was a scene where the characters had to collect some bull semen. They just did it by grabbing the bull's wang while he was trying to mount a cow, put a rubber bag around it (evidently experiencing a shortage of bull-sized frangers), and let the bull keep happily banging away. When he was done, they made off with the bag, mixed the contents with glycerol in tubes, then froze the tubes in dry ice to preserve the little wrigglers. The glycerol somehow stopped the sperm from freezing to death. Why I'm participating in this conversation, I don't know. This is taking procrastination to a new level.

I kind of figured all of that.
It probably wouldn't have to be a big load to be worth lots to a breeder, so to speak.
But hey, you'd know, you're the semen expert ;)
