Getting a letter from uni saying I owe them $20 for a parking fine and $30 for a reminder fee. The worst thing about this is that two months ago I got the same letter. I wrote to the parking office asking them to let me off the $30 reminder fee, I made the excuse that being pregnant and having a lot of illnesses made me forget to pay my parking fine. They accepted this and wrote back to me saying I only had to pay $20, by the end of April. Too bad I forgot again and now I've been charged another bloody $30. This time I'll just have to pay up. :evil:

Having a need of the Unix Gnu C++ compiler for the first time in over a year... and finding that today is the day that the system has decided to lock me out of the Unix account. Impeccable timing; it cannot be a coincidence.

Bonus peeve: the system admin service desk droid was unable to solve the problem ("have you rebooted?" AAAAARGH :twisted:

) and referred the problem to her superiors. Meaning that by 1:00 PM I still could not log in and do what I had to do.

Have now come home to do it on my laptop. Possible anti-peeve: I am not allowed to bring my laptop to the workplace.
This _might_ give me an excuse to stay home and work this week.

You could tell her you that for budgetary reasons related to the world financial crisis, after discussions with economic advisers, you were making cuts this year, but if the recovery came through you were planning to give her a double one next year??
