With no contract who says you have to give 4 weeks notice?

I went private for mine and finished up sitting with the guy from Radiology SA watching them come up on his computer screen immediately after they were done. [Being a doctor myself helps of course..]Choccies wrote:Waiting for test results from the hospital system........

Follow up ones done late one afternoon were relayed to me by my private specialist within 2 days.

I believe Law is one pay cycle.(?) So if you're paid monthly you're stuffed. I'd say two weeks is more than sufficient and to give one week is a little rude IMO as employers have no chance of advertising / employing someone to replace you in one week.

Fair enough, its clearly not the simple stuff then.Choccies wrote:Unfortunatley not that easy Psyb. Its MRI and blood results for Junior Junior Choccies which have shown very little so now the poor little bugger has to have an EEG and Skin Biopsy as well. I guess they try to rule out certain diagnosises (sp??) with each test but we still know very little and its a bit frustratingPsyber wrote:I went private for mine and finished up sitting with the guy from Radiology SA watching them come up on his computer screen immediately after they were done. Not correct Booney. Each award may be different but usually the length of service plays a part in how much notice you need to give if you NG have been there less than a year then usually only 1 weeks notice is required. The maximum notice you would be required is a month.
If NG wants to give me a PM with the industry and the length of time he has been there i can let him know what notice he needs to give.
