Macca's breakfast deal is a ripper with the capuccino drink choice. You get to read the Advertiser which saves you buying it so its good value
People who bought this book also bought a stool and some rope. Unknown literary critic

Macca's, only really eat it on a night out when I'm drunk as a snunk. I love my Chicken Bacon Deluxes, they're awsome.

I worked at HUngry Jacks as my 1st ever job.
Opened the Hackham store in 1988.
ALso worked at Morphett Vale, Sheidow Park and Edwardstown as a manager.
Went to Darwin and helped to open the Casuarina store in November 1989.
Best 7 weeks of my life.
Everyone told me I would end up hating the food, and I never have.
Love Hungry Jacks over Maccas and always will.
The only thing Maccas will ever serve better than HJ;s is thickshakes.

BTW - IMO the best EVER burger HJ's has ever had was the taco burger.
It was sensational and they got the ingredients right.
Pseudo would've been popping the blood blisters on the meat at the broiler in HIndley Street when this burger came out and I haven't seen it on the menu since.
Not sure why.

I won a Whopper 2 for the price of 1 voucher on the AFL tipping website.

You get a voucher when you pick 8 winners.

It says only at participating branches...

Took me 4 years to pick 8/8 in the AFL competition.

Anyone else out there cashed the voucher in...? ;) :D

I've only ever had two HJs because the outlets are scarce in the areas I inhabit and travel through as I've lived in the hills since 1983.
Hawthorn or Blackwood would be the closest here, but about 20 minutes off my usual track.
[Bayswater North was near where I worked, when I was in Melbourne, but the wrong direction from home.]

I've occasionally used the Maccas on Glen Osmond Rd when in a hurry, and I'd say HJ's have been better.

I prefer Maccas to HJ's. The onion rings are bloody good though.

Was the one above confusing?
I thought I was just pointing out my choice, and explaining why it was based on limited sampling.

Where have I been? England, Scotland, Wales, Eire, and Singapore for the last month...
[Bus tour then drove over 2300 miles on English and Welsh roads.]

I had a good Hamburger in a place called "Wendy's" near Raffles in Singapore.

Macca's vs HJ's:

Macca's has a Filet O' Fish but HJ's discontinued their Ocean Catch, so Macca's gets 1 point. (I don't eat red meat and I only eat chicken when my doctor tells me I'm anaemic and I have to get my iron levels back up.)

If I am eating chicken - HJ's spicy grilled chicken burger pisses all over the McChicken. HJ's 1 point.

Macca's fries are better than HJ's. Sometimes the stupid people at Happy Valley give me cold ones but for the most part they are superior. Macca's 1 point.

But I used to ask for McChicken sauce to go with my fries, and now Macca's won't do it any more. I persist in asking for it but they give me packets of mayonnaise instead and it does not taste the same. Macca's -1 point.

HJ's ice cream tastes better than Macca's. HJ's 1 point.

I was afraid of Ronald McDonald when I was small, and even now I still don't like him. Macca's -1 point.

Macca's chicks are dumber than HJ's chicks by a country mile. They never get my order right at Happy Valley EVER. The HJ's at Junk Food Junction used to be pretty woeful but they have managed to get my order right nearly every time this year so far. HJ's 1 point.

Macca's down south is open at insane hours so when you are coming home after a big one you can always pick up some greasy crud to mung on before you pass out. HJ's does not offer the same flexible hours. Macca's 1 point.

The McCafe is in my opinion a pretentious waste of space, but they do a damn good coffee. Macca's 1 point.

In the playground at some Macca's outlets, they have these hamburgers with eyes and you can put your hand over their eyes to make them go blind. It's a lot more fun than it sounds. Or maybe only I find it fun. Either way, HJ's just can't compare. Macca's 1 point.

Total score: Macca's 3, HJ's 3. But Macca's would win if they gave me McChicken sauce instead of mayo. Bastards.

Hungry Jacks for mine shits all over McDonalds. HJ's burgers somewhat approach real burgers where as Maccas is just microwaved crap although I did try some breakfast wrap type thingy from them not that long ago and it was very tasty but other than that, meh.
