Our daughter makes us feel like that and she's still 18 months away from being a Teen

May the force be with you Ian!

Mine has always been classed in the 'really good' basket - but now at 17yrs and 3 months has just lately really started to get on my nerves!
Mood swings are horrendous, can't even look at her without an attitude developing!

I give her to the 17yrs and 4 month mark to get over it before I lose it

I know I was quite moody as a teenager - but my parents actually had the nerve to read my diary once (which was how they found out I was having sex) so as far as I'm concerned, we're even!

My sister is 21 but she's been shocking with her mood swings since she was about 15. Everyone in the family is terrified of her. She's only about 4"10 but somehow still comes across as quite frightening. She's a nurse and I can definitely see her as one of those iron-lady ward sisters in about five years' time. I used to always win in fights with her as a kid - it helped being older and taller - but I wouldn't dare take her on now. :axe:
Hey Goose, ya big stud! Take me to bed or lose me for ever.

It's not just standard procedure Aceman - it's law - and that's how it is - so just do it...lol....
and 'we' heard about it all day long no matter what time of the day it was when we asked the question.

So when next voting please spare a thought for the person who has to ask these questions -
I can assure you they are just as painful asking them as answering them

Re daughter troubles...
Mine just wrote me a 3 page letter
And I responded with a 6 page reply 8) lol

Am now crossing those fingers for peace and harmony O:)

No seriously - I'm glad she wrote me the letter - it's better than having a screaming match at each other - or her building everything up inside and not letting it out - communication is the key I think O:)

Okay - getting soppy now - sorry guys...lol.

I think we've worked through our 'issues' but she did make me  with this:

I appreciate everything that you do for me and everyone else. Even the little things like making my lunch for me before i go to school to the other things like driving me to concerts and stuff. I might not show it and the boys might not show it but we all do really appreciate it. And even dad appreciates it, he/ we all just forget to show it sometimes …
I’ll try to be more mature, do my jobs, school work and be nicer to everyone

I suppose "before today" could be read as either "up to that time on that day" or "prior to that day".

In the quoted context, the question accounts for early and postal votes anyway. Common sense, IMHO.

I understand that Mum, just thought is was funny, even the stern faced guy standing with his hand on the door handle watching the second hand on his watch tick slowly toward 8 bells amused me. I was going to golf and couldn't help but think, if this 'cocks up' my game, I'll never vote early again. Well guess what, It did!
I have a friend who gets involved in polling days, she tells me it's good money so can you work out for me how much a person gets for every time they pose the question "have you voted before anywhere today"?
Could be an interesting exercise to see if it's worth the effort. ;)

Well that's the thing isn't it -
If some 'moron' votes somewhere twice they're still going to say no to that question - it is bemusing.

It just covers the person handing out the voting slips.

It's varied depending of job 'importance' so I can only tell you what I got paid.
$359 gross - and I worked 7am till 10pm - with 3 x 10 minute breaks.

The money is okay for the hours - but I actually just like doing it - the whole process - the handing out the slips (Except to the odd un/nice grumpy person/smart ass/I'm wrecking their day - yes me  ) - to the counting of the votes at night.

The day flies by because you are continuously busy.
And the pressure is on after the doors close because everyone wants numbers !

assuming my computer was infected with a virus, paying $160 to get it repaired, then getting it home and logging on to find that it was actually BigPond Security that caused the problem and not a virus at all.

Having to watch Richmond play in the season opener. They should honestly boot them out of the comp. They are pathetic and do not deserve to be playing in an elite sporting competition.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep

No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

FFS, don't blame the inadequacies of your own parenting skills(or lack of them) on someone else. Maybe Mike did bonk your wife, but spare us all from the crap that's written in that article just for the political sake of it.

It may well be that Phillips Junior has gleaned some of his traits from his parents, especially Dad, but who is entitled to carry all or any of those weapons, use them in a fracas and expect to get away with and blame someone else for it happening?

The last paragraph should never have been printed, it has absolutely no relevance to the story except confirm the hatred that Phillips has for Rann and the bias of the Advertiser.

Had you been a reasonable husband instead of a 'conman', she may not have sought an alternative. Sympathy seeking seems to be your families forte, you get SFA from me, you're just a "germ" wandering in our society, you jerk!

Great post and am sure ALL would agree.

I note the infatuation of the Advertiser stiil continues with this "female" today giving her 2 &1/2 pages including photos of the "same old, same old" in a liftout section.
Is there any chance this woman will ever go back to America and hopefully disappear into the Michigan smog?
Whilst it's all been said before, I am still waiting to see her admit to just one small thing and I'm betting it won't happen.
In the time she and Mike Rann were allegedly visiting all types of places to apease their sexual appetites, why is it she did not, nor has she, remembered nor admitted that she was MARRIED and he was SINGLE.
The portrayal by the Advertiser that she is of the same ilk as the Virgin Mary is beyond belief, so perhaps it wasn't a political stunt, more so an advertising ploy to sell more of their crap. Unfortunately, it clouds the more important issues that should be reported in much more depth and even more so, as it's the only rag in SA, we are forced to have it thrown in our face, day after day!

You should be ashamed of all the NAFC you have adorning your profile and delete it if they're that bad.
Just don't go out the back of the shed and hang yourself, it's too early in the season!

who said anything about jumping ship FFS, sorry, I should have used a ;) after the post
Although last nights result did give most North supporters the shits, I'll be there next week and if they perform with as little heart as what was shown last night they'll give me the shits again, but that doesn't mean I will jump ship, christ if I kicked my kids out every time they gave me the shits they would have been living on the streets for years now
