Clementine Ford on "The Fappening" leaked celebrity nudes:

"If you deliberately seek out any of these images, you are directly participating in the violation not just of numerous women’s privacy but also of their bodies. "

Guilty as charged, bitch!

Why do these people take or allow these photos to be taken anyway, if they don't want them out there?

I've never taken nude photos of myself or allowed any of my hoards of adoring female fans over the years to take them. Even as a teenager I knew things like that (or things written down on paper) could come home to bite you later. The same applies to allegedly private social media, as anyone with half a brain could work out.

Taking off on a different angle, I found this amusing: https://au.finance.yahoo.com/news/boomi ... 19567.html

Ministers in Norway -- a major and rich oil-producing country -- are under increasing public pressure to reduce perks and tax breaks for booming electric car sales.

"It's become a problem," said Erik Haugstad, a bus driver in the Oslo region who complains about the numerous electric cars clogging bus lanes, which they have the right to use in Norway. The cars are also exempt from urban toll payments or fees at public parking spaces, where they can recharge batteries without cost. But above all, they are exempt from Norway's sky high sales taxes and VAT...

… The policy has been so successful that 32,000 electric cars are now on the road -- by far the highest rate per capita in the world, in a country with a 5.1 million population.

"I'm a bus driver and I want to transport my passengers as quickly as possible. So, I'd like electric cars to leave the bus lanes, where they're getting in my way," Haugstad said. "These delays have a cost for society. Time lost by thousands of our passengers in traffic is far greater than that gained by a few dozen electric car drivers."

He said the cars can create a vicious circle -- tired of being stuck in traffic, bus users could be tempted to buy an electric car themselves, worsening the congestion problem. Electric cars already represent 85 percent of traffic in bus lanes during rush hour, according to a study by the Norwegian Public Roads Administration on a busy stretch of road outside Oslo.

Funny how the wimmins who protest loudest about this sort of thing are the ones you'd least want to see sans vetements...

Or use fricken cloud storage or any other 3rd party storage for photos or data that is lets say sensitive.

Yes it is a hot issue in medical practice at the moment.

Several medical groups in Oz who used allegedly secure for the purpose and fairly expensive cloud storage services have had their storage hacked and the AMA and the liability insurers are advising against it being used. Most GP groups use password protected and encrypted local storage and take encrypted backups off site on external backup devices in case of break-ins or fire. (One SA specialist I know thought they had it licked by using Macintosh systems and Mac dedicated cloud storage but they got hacked too.)

That is one of the reasons Medicare is not getting a lot of support for its PCEHR plan where patient records go on to Medicare's servers and can be accessed by any treating doctor with the patient's consent.

There are several worries:
1. Can a government department be relied on to keep data secure of major world IT companies can't?*
2. Can they be relied on not to mine the data for not health related purposes?
3. How reliable is the alleged "patient controlled" in "Patient Controlled Electronic Health Record"?

* Especially given their supplied dongles or cards to provide access control are, according to their web site, designed for "XP or Vista".
When you ring to check they say they'll work on Windows 7, but not on 8.0 or 8.1...

I loved his commentary on the weird and obviously thick young woman.
All us dog lovers know that GOD created DOG in his own image - he just happened to be looking in a mirror at the time. ;)

I went to the show today specifically to see the Irish Wolfhounds and spent a short time helping show off to the public one who is about 93 cm tall at the shoulder, though a little slender at only 78 Kg - that is not bad for one only 19 months old. (My last one was a little shorter but 90Kg at maturity.)
