yeuuuuuuuuch I hate slugs! I was very unimpressed with my son one day when he found a slug outside and wanted to bring it in. I said no and to come inside right now. He went inside for a little while, then complained that he'd left his red Lego car outside. I let him go out to get it, a minute later he appeared at the door with a big grin on his face, saying 'I couldn't find my car... so I brought the SLUG instead!' He had hidden his car under the rug as an excuse to go outside and get the slug. Little horror!

haha, the mention of pelicans reminded me when I took my son to the zoo last year and there was a baby pelican. I'd never seen one before and said the first thing that came into my head, 'F***, it looks like a roast chicken!' to which my son took extreme offence and screamed, 'NO, IT DOESN'T!' before bursting into tears. I managed to calm him down but I was laughing my head off the entire time and I'm surprised no one threatened me with the Department of Community Services!

That made me laugh !!

My younger brother, at the end of his first day at school reported at the dinner table that night that "I didn't learn anything today". I'm not sure things improved for him over time, but that was a funny moment.

That's the worst section!!! Parochial, with limited AFL coverage.

Bullsh!t, too much bloody AFL content more like it. I can read when local AFL players fart and cr@p and who gives a rats rectum about what happens between North Melbourne and St Kilda. Wish the 'Mail would go back to how they used to report the VFL, 1 column (six paragraphs long) summarising the games with the escores in with the amateurs section.
