Even with cars it is how you use it that counts... ;)
My 5 cylinder 2.3 litre Audi puts out 205 Kw. [279bhp I think.]

A news bulletin I just read

"Crime down, but assaults up in Victoria"

The way I first read that is - assaulting someone isn't a crime...lol.

That's what the English seems to say, and Police economics in Victoria has always been expedience based.
They tend to ignore minor crime of the type that makes some railway stations unsafe even by day, and concentrate on the evil motorist exceeding the speed limit by 3 Km per hour.
When I lived in the hills town of Olinda they promised a new police station during the last state election because the old one couldn't accommodate a better police presence in that region of the hills.
Then they spent a substantial amount on a cute semi-circular architect designed building, and after the election staffed it 2 hours a week....

Ahhh the Victorian police couldn't catch a cold yet they can catch a speeding motorist over 3 km's. All the Victorian Police care about is making money for the government

My work colleague who managed to drop a dinner plate as we got in to the lift. The plate literally managed to fall/slip through the gap between the lift and the corridor, and then smashed into squillions of pieces as it bounced off the walls of the lift shaft all the way to the bottom (about 17 floors). Very noisy, but very funny!

Tonight I was packing up some plates in a box. I told my partner to be careful when lifting it because it was fragile, and he said 'Don't worry, I'm not going to kick it or throw it or anything.' So I said, 'Yeah! Kick the plates!' and made as if to boot the box up the hallway, and somehow I launched my whole self into the air and ended up flat on my back. Couldn't get up for about a minute because I was laughing so hard. My back is pretty sore now though.
