You guys are getting better at NZ-ese. You have reached the point where I can no longer decipher it - an issue I have experienced with some NZ speakers - mostly from the south I think...

I work for a NZ based company and was fortunate enough to go there ( Queenstown ) in May this year.

There was some hilariously funny moments when some were doing there presentations.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

I have never been able to pin point the difference in kiwi accents during my time working over there over the last 5 years on and off. And speaking with them they cant agree over where a specific accent comes from either.... it just appears that some happen to have really strong accents and some don't, no matter where they are from. Stull sounds shut no matter where they live if you ask me.... ;)
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

f*** OFF home wouldnt ya!!

In that case we'd all better f*** off and leave the place to the Aborigines. People who complain about immigrants are really secretly scared of the fact that they might be prepared to work harder than they are. As for complaining, it's a Democracy...if you don't want dissent, when we all leave we could head to China.

REB

How did I know that was coming
Im talking about immigrants that havent been here for more then 5mins and arent Australian citizens
recieveing more help from the government then alot of people that have lived here for 50+ years!

as for being scared I may need to work harder, not at all mate.

it is democracy and that does make Australia such a great place, but like I said its the people who have been here for not even 5mins complaining that piss me off!

LOL. Sorry mate you did amend your post but not in time for mine. BTW with the work harder call that wasn't really directed at you personally just a general observation so apologies for any offence caused.

regards,

REB

Eddie McGuire commentating the golf. Not seeing Tigers round today, and having to listen to Eddie's butchery of my language.

Tell me about it - had I known I would have kept all the windows open overnight.

I do have aircon but it doesn't really reach the bedroom, and although it's not completely hot, it is rather stuffy..

Can't say I'd blame them.. ;)
I had an aluminium gutter guard fitted the other day.
The guys rang the night before and asked whether, since it was going to get hot, I'd mind if they started at 4.30 am..
I gave them the OK but they didn't start till 5.50 am.
Today an electrician came at 8 am. He did the in roof work first then the in house finishing.
There is another in roof job to do but we agreed that could wait for another morning, as it was pretty hot up there by the time he'd finished the other one.
He decided to knock off for the day at 11.30 am as he a social matter to attend about 2 in the afternoon.
