It's OK if I leave one on the front passenger's seat to remind me, but if I give anyone a lift and chuck the bags in the back, I hardly ever remember to take them in with me..

Mid-August buyt yourself some "Beconase" nasal spray and start using it by the end of August, it contains a steroid that helps neutralise the parts of the nose that produce histamine. Get some of that into ya!

That sort of stuff works the first couple of times, but I tend to become immune to that stuff pretty quicky - which is why I won't spend $60 on a bottle of Nasonex anymore. Zyrtec and the like do Zilch, nothing, nil, nada, donuts. When they made it with de-congestant it was ok, but the speedheads put that to a halt. :?

I'll use a spray now only if I'm absolutely desperate - I've got logicin at the moment which I've used about half a dozen times and never more than one day at a time (or in succession) and only at night so I can at least get some sleep :(

BTW, there is a difference between a bit of hayfever and chronic sinusitits - you tell 'em Psyb ;)

Thats what the whole getting rid of plastic bags was about - otherwise they would have just given out the biodegradable ones which didn't cost much more.
They seem to have disappeared now, and they would have come down in price with greater turnover.
I don't know whether it's true, but I've heard these "green" ones are actually polypropylene and much less biodegradable the the previous free ones.
There'll probably be an emissions trading tax, and a disposal levy on the worn out ones, next...

It's a bit of both.

65 or is it 70...?

Bloody hell. I don't think I will make it, Keven 747...?

53....

What do you say to that..!

Thought of chuck'n it in today.

Bottom Line....................

Actually, yes you should. That's why the DNCR is there in the first place - the offending company can cop massive fines for not complying..

I think they were 'overseas' callers.
Do they still count?

(I say think - because I was very rude in the end and hung up on them)

LOL

Well normally I wouldn't hang up on them... but I was flat out with work

It went something like this-

Them - "Is Mr A Dad or Mrs A Mum home?"
Me (instantly suspicious..lol) - "No, sorry"
Them - "Can you get one of them please"

(My thoughts - shit, that didn't work... )

Me - "May I ask who's calling?"
Them - "We are calling about your holiday accomodation"
Me - "We don't have any holiday accomodation"
Them - "That is why we are calling"
Me - "I'm not interested thankyou"
Them - "Bu...."
Me: * clunk *

LOL - I do feel bad hanging up, but !
It's probably bad Karma or something...LOL

Never feel bad about it...I used to feel guilty about hanging up and being rude to them but now I think of it as a home invasion by phone...they've forced their way into your home, uninvited, unwanted and you're kicking them out :D ;)

A MUM

they wouldve offered you 10 nights for $179, $149 or $119

you can use those 10 nights individually if you choose

the hotels/motels are min 3.5 star rating

i keep telling them that I had another company and they offered it to me for less then what they initially offer and in a heartbeat they automatically drop the price to match

I didn't register for the DNCR as I suspected it would become a "do call" register for the exempt players like charities - I have stuck with paying for "unlisted" status.
My line with charities has always been, "Write to me, and I'll read it at my convenience, don't annoy me by ringing at inconvenient times [or door-knocking] if you want to be on my list."
That way you can also verify they are a real charity.

Whenever they ask for Mr Choccies or Mrs Choccies I just say, hang on I'll go get them.... I'll put the phone on the bench and walk away..... then when I come back in the house 20 minutes later I laugh and wonder if they are still 'on hold' waiting for me !!

Other option is to inundate them with probing questions.... they hate it !!
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

similar thing, yesterday we had a doorknocker. (edited for length)
them "are you interested in lowering your electricity bill"
me "yes"
them "well blah de blah"
me "well do you have a brochure so i can read it and discuss it with the missus when she gets home?"
them "no"
me "is there a website i can view the info later"
them "no, but we have a 10 day cooling off period so if we sign you up now you can talk about it and decide later"
me "goodbye (slams door)"

how can they ecpect people to do anything on the spot with nothing in writing and no way to verify their claims?? and she seemed very put out when i told her i wanted to think about it and decide later, also tried to make an appointment for when the missus was home so she could talk to us both! bloody doorknokers!
