Coke from a glass bottle disproves your theory.

Nup, never trust beer in a clear bottle.

Unfortunately only do them on a Sunday but imo definitely worth the 2 hour drive from Adelaide if your looking for a day out, stops at Auburn, Clare, Burra would turn it into a really nice day.

Any suggestions on a good place for lunch tomorrow, preferably waterfront.

Lone Star Rib House, Port Adelaide Plaza
Like most American themed rib joints there's lots of horns and chequered decor around the place giving it the full Yanky Doodle Dandy vibe.
Seated in a booth for 4 ( there was 4 of us ) and being a larger mammal I'm immediately uncomfortable as the table and my thickness don't agree with each other. My fault for drinking too much and exercising too little.
Ruby, who is clearly on her first shift is completely overwhelmed by our first drinks order "Two One Fifty Lashes" I say, taking care of myself and my mate "Is that red or white?" she says. Oh dear.
The wife and Mrs Mate order a bottle of rose, or, as Ruby says "Rose" = flower. "Do you want two glasses?" "No" I say "just one and a straw please". Ruby writes down...."Kidding, two glasses"
We look over the menu and I decide upon the steak and rib combo, Ruby tells me the steak is 250gm and there's 600gms of ribs. Hmm. Seems a lot.
Out it comes and yes, it would have been 250gm of steak cooked perfectly medium well with some really good chips and what I suspect was Coles coleslaw. The ribs, pork with bbq sauce, well, it wasn't 600gm. I'd say a full rack would be 600gm, I had 3 ribs with little meat on them. What was there was good however.
In short, $40 for the steak and ribs, $9 for the James Squires and the 4 of us end up with a bill of $280. I'm not going to say it wasn't good, it was pretty good, I'm not going to say it was too expensive because steak, ribs and a few beers for $70 ( thereabouts ) isn't bad but I wouldn't say it was value for money.
Food 8/10
Service 5/10
Value for money 4/10

Ha! No, they were fine. But there's no toilet in the restaurant. As it was after hours for the shopping centre you have to get a staff member to take you around to the western side of the shopping centre and use a swipe card to let you in.
Then you go either up two flights / one level of stairs or in the lift to the first floor.
Then you walk south, about 40-50m past some empty office space to the toilets.

Well that's a big oversight from the center. We regularly eat a Sushi Hiro on the other side (our kids go to day care on the end at Paisley Park), and the toilet is close there. Maybe once more opens up it will get easier. It's looking fantastic though, great for the area.
