Had the first ultrasound for my first baby today...best experience Ive ever had.

Congratulations!! It's pretty cool when you get to actually see your little person for the first time.

Yeah i dont think i blinked the whole 40 minutes that the ultrasound took. Then while we were waiting for the doc to give bubs the all clear, I was staring at the photos they gave us...it finally makes everything a lot more real when you actually see your son or daughter...bring on June!!!

and not finding out the sex...doesnt matter what it is...as long as bubs is healthy then we are happy...

the ultrasound lady checked the sex while we were there...and i noticed that from that view i could prob tell, so quickly looked away...wish she warned us so we didnt accidently see...but its ok...all i saw was bubs looking straight down at us

We've got a sling that allows us to carry our baby like that. He loves it and it's way easier than holding him or having a stroller.

I was constantly amazed at the amount of things the women could carry on their heads, sometimes the load being as tall as themselves. They have amazing posture and spectacular booties

Anyway, as a final hurrah from West Africa I will leave you with pics from the continent's largest Voodoo market, found on the outskirts of Togo's capital. The leopard head was used to lift the Collywobble curse
