Drinking Velkopopovicky Kozel Premium, very smooth beer, 500ml. From the Czech Republic. 4.8% alcohol. Recommend.

Looking for a six pack last night to add to the esky for tonight's party at a friends house.

Crowns? Nice but had enough over Xmas
Coopers? MEH,
Hieneken? over-rated
TEDs? NSW sh!t
Stella? doesn't travel well
Becks? sex in a boat
VB? have you seen the Yarra lately?
Carlton Cold? not the same since it went to 4.0%
Assorted Asian beers? pass
Millers, Budweiser - see Asian beers
Don't like the english lagers or Ales

So back to old faithfull and best beer in the world, West End Draught - in bottles, Magnificent.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Young's Special London Ale got a run last night, it's from Bedford in the UK, 6.4% alcohol, 500ml. Quite a strong tasting beer. Went down easily enough. Not quite to my taste being such a strong tasting beer, but I can see how many would like it.

Is that recommended to be drank at room temp?

Wife brought me a carton of Sol for Xmas day, not bad but has to be almost frozen, tastes ordinary when it gets warmer.
Got myself a case of Boddingtons for New Years, my old favourite.
Do love the Newcastle Brown aswell but hard to get hold of.

Agreed Sol is best cold and NBA is brilliant but pricey

Not a bad review except the West End, needs to come out of either a keg or a can, just picked up a 30 pack for tonight! :partyman:

I got one of those Chrissco 'beers of the world' packs for Christmas

Hieneken - overrated? Never not a bad drop that one.
Carona - Not bad but I don't have any bloody lemons.
Stella - Doesn't travel well? Drink faster. Like Stella but yeah better on tap like everything else
Becks - Not too bad, better than the Belgian and Italian offerings
Ashashi (Japan) - A surprisingly good drop that one
Perroni (Italy) - Drinkable but not outstanding
Hoegaarden (Belgium) - Too bloody fruity. Reminded me of a West Coast Cooler. The only one I didn't really like.
There was another one but I drank em all - Like Corona and gawnski

What a way to kick off Festivus. Got a heap of Boags as well GEAR.

regards,

REB

Had a pint tonight with dinner at the Southern in Gawler. Not a bad drop, would definately go it again.
Is it only in pubs or available in Stubs?

I'm not sure but oddly I found it tasted better when it was a little warmer.

The vale is a great beer, if you see their IPA on tap, give that a go. It is a winner.
