Lennies and the Morphy were my favoured jaunts.
Morphy was my fav.
Usually the Morphy on a Friday night and Lennies on a Saturday.

Went to the Bay Disco a few times when I was underraged and loved the place.

In town used to go to The Venue, Mansions, the old pub that was on the corner of Flinder and Gawler place (now a Credit Union), Ambassador, Jules and got kicked out The Tunnell on Grenfell St once.

How about The Black Rose?Downstairs in Hindley st.Most unusual crowd I have ever seen.
Or the old Centralia Hotel in North tce,a morning chill out spot for hookers, bouncers and various shady types.
Both gone now.

Yeah ended up at the Black Rose late (or should I say early) some times when in Hindley St, quite often came out of there to see the sun shining.

As Mary Hopkins once sang 'Those were the days my friend."

The Black Rose was owned for a long time by a guy named Falzi
He was a skinny man and a real laugh
He used to have the coffee place across the road called Desert Sands
on the first floor of that building, my favourite coffee lounge in Adelaide at the time

WEDGIE I came out occassionally into daylight from The Black Rose , but
more often left at nightlight for obvious reasons....

Apparently the Arkaba is called the "Breathaliser".

Every time you go there you get to blow in a bag.

That would be the Earl of Zetland Wedgie, used to be the watering hole of choice for after work Friday night drinks.

Most time was spent at Toucan 2 (Hindley Street)
Le Rox
The Austral
The Old Lion Disco (in the ballroom, now a carpark)
Sinatras
Bogarts
Pharoahs (North Terrace)
There was a disco/nightclub run out of the Marryaville on Kensington Road that we went to quite often
Also one in the Lord Melbourne hotel on Melbourne Street and I can't remember the name of that one either
Heaven (the original one, not the one in the Newmarket which incidentally is Heaven II - or was)
Toucan (Unley before it closed down)
Lark and Tinas
Sams
There are so many more but I'm trying to think of the really old ones which is testing the memory somewhat.

I'll think you'll find that when "Heaven" was built in 1993, it was that extension that was called "Heaven", and the rest of the complex was called Joplins. It closed down for a while (can't remember why)and re-opened as Heaven II, and then opening upstairs (joplins) as it's popularity grew. Same poo different bucket if you ask me

Upstairs at the Newmarket Hotel (last stop before going home)
Berkley
McMahons Tonsley (weekdays)
Norwood Hotel (religiously every Saturday night for about 12 months in the mid 90's)

It was on North Terrace close to King William Street opposite the train station somewhere, downstairs. That's all I can remember  By the time we got there, we'd been out all night. Very alternative, fantastic place.

Which reminds me of another one somewhere around the back streets between Hindley and North Terrace probably where the Uni is now. Bvggered if I can remember what that one was called. I remember it had a lot of different coloured squares in it...
