I always make a point of having a pie floater day for my students each year - it's amazing how few South Aussies have had or have heard of the iconic PF. They kiddies always screw their nose up at first but the brave ones always come away smiling :)

The Goldern Kabab here in Werribee make a top kabab i eat there atleast once a week. $7.50 for a kabab with the lot extra garlic sauce and onions. A pie store here in Werribee is starting up pie floaters with Vili's pies i dunno how they will go. With pie floaters you can shove them i have never liked them and yes i have tried them. I hate pea soup.

I love your work zipper 8)

My partner is English by birth. She took out Aussie citizenship back in '99. I celebrated by cooking up a big pot of pea and ham soup, putting some pies in the oven and inviting her very English parents over for lunch. Once they found out what they were having they squealed... but they ate them, and loved it.

Fantastic work! I would have thought the mushy pea factor would have made it appealing to Poms but they're hard to work out in the epicurean stakes. My sister-in-law took a pack of Wolf Blass reds when visiting her relatives in Northamptonshire and they mixed it with lemonade.
