Having said that, Main North Road is downright scary and a place I avoid at all costs. I can get from our place at Golden Grove to Port Adelaide in under 30 minutes now. The same distance across suburban Melbourne would take about 90! It makes me laugh when Adelaidians complain about "traffic congestion". Idiot drivers is a different issue though-and we have more capita here than any other city in Australia.
