BTW, the Coles deli garlic mettwurst is the cheapest and tastiest getting around, unless you go get a 5 footer straight from Kalleske’s factory.

Funnily enough i went to the Watervale Hotel last week and bought the Carbonara. It came with Orange zest in it......definitely not my thing.
I cannot bring myself to buy a carbonara while out, they’ll charge $30 for something that costs $3 to make, if that.

Wrap in the frypan, cheese, mettwurst and Franks Thick Hot Sauce, another wrap on top. It’s like a Quesadilla

I forgot about ham, still got some left so that'll go in too. I have a flat Kmart Toasted Sandwich Press which I've had since I've had my house which has been good to me but don't use it much anymore as my wife got a Sunbeam Big Fill Toastie 4 Press two or three Christmases ago and I love it.

Same here, my local Coles doesn’t have a deli so I have to get it from the next closest one.
The lad and I get slices of it and whack a wedge of laughing cow cheese in between then squish it down, absolute delicacy, anyone that tries it usually backs it up with 2 or 3 more

I occasionally go to Kalleske’s and grab a few 5 footers but then it’s just overkill as I cut off inch thick pieces

A tale of two Christmas lunches.
1. Traditional (wife’s side of the family, Aussies)
Small platter with leg ham, cheddar cheese (optional)
Roast pork and turkey, roast potatoes and carrots
Christmas pudding
Nescafé coffee
Cherries
All portions just barely enough to feed the number of guests
Christmas dinner not catered for, usually only on the rare occasion if there are leftovers
2. Wog version, my side
Large antipasto platters, min of 3 per table, authentic Italian smallgoods - capocollo, salami, mortadella, prosciutto, provolone, artichokes, marinated veggies.
Prawns - must be the biggest and dearest of the season, no less than 10kgs worth
Lupini beans
Crusty bread rolls
Lasagne and pasta
Roast chicken
2nd serving of prawns
Freshly percolated coffee, bottomless cup
Italian sweets - cannoli, sfogliatelle, panettone, tiramisu
Watermelon
All portions enough to feed 10x the number of guests for 2 weeks
Repeat lunch menu for Christmas dinner
