Surprising that it doesn't have Tasmania on it. Then again, not many people do have maps of Tasmania these days

OK simpletons, yes the brand logo cost 1.5m to create/market/advertise but the tourism dollars into the state from said promotion will be ten fold!!

It's not so much the money spent on marketing etc. its the fact the money is spent on something that looks carp!

It may however pursuade a few boats of refugees from Xmas Island to SA as it looks like we are the back door of the nation. Imagine the publicity we would get then!!! Everyone will be saying Christmas island WTF is that?!?!?!?!

Heftys right. Just talked to a mate in Queensland who had no interest in coming here. He saw the new logo and is lining up for the next plane here.

See already had an impact!

But let's be honest here as a state we have to do SOMETHING to get the promotion of the state out to the public. Yes, the logo may not be the most attractive thing going around but it is about getting the word out to tourists about SA. I believe we are second only to the ACT as the least most visited state/territory in all of Australia!!

Kangaroo Island saw a huge spike in tourism numbers of the back of the recent KI ad (Eddie Vedder) and I believe they will be laying out ads for each region with hopefully a similar impact.

I've got an idea, why don't we slash millions from our tourism budget, close our regional tourist centres and centralise all our tourist outlets to some sleazy CBD building!?
