When I was living in Belfast in the mid '90's, my class was doing this massive project on old fashioned street games - we even published a book largely typed by me that went to just about every primary school in Northern Ireland. Anyway, we had UTV (Northern Ireland's ITV affiliate) come in and do an article on us, and I had one of the prime positions in the classroom behind the teacher as they interviewed him.
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

Not sure how much coverage it got (none basically) but my 15 mins of fame is doing Red Hot Go with Greg Champion at the opening of the ACHPER conference at Melbourne Uni in the 90s. The conference director "went missing" so Greg was doing it on his own and knowing the song when he said "R-H-G" I said, red hot go, and he heard me. So he made me get on stage and do the "Coodabeens" parts to the song. I struggled for most of them but got a few towards the end.

Got to speak to him afterwards and with Greg being a big Norwood fan we had a good chat about SANFL footy.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Mrs R & B was in LA with me years ago when we saw a swarm of TV and press.

We went closer for a look and stood behind the bloke being quizzed.

When we turned the TV news on later, there was Mrs R & B centre stage on NBC Prime Time News :)

Last time we lost a GF - we hadn't scored for something like two quarters. So when we finally did...

Long story short but that camera man was in front of us obstructing our view all game and wouldnt move or crouch down despite his footage only being involved . 05% of the time and many enquiries to ask him to be more aware of those behind him.
Turns around and puts the camera on me and what do you expect a 16yo to do?
He didn't ask my permission to use my face in his coverage so I disnt feel the need to keep my middle finger down.
How thats trolling I have no idea especially as didn't have access to the internet on my Commodore 64 nor did I have it with me that day.

ABC doing a documentary in the late 60's, they were filming the main street of Keith (our house was in the main St), allegedly there was a boy peeing through a chain mesh fence as the camera was rolling

I was on TV once in 1972 or thereabouts (B&W then) with my first wife when we were Publicity Officers for a breed society in SA.
We appeared with Patsy Biscoe and Ian Fairweather, and a litter of Dalmatians and their Mum, and were interviewed about the breed.
(Their Mum wouldn't allow Humphrey on set - she just growled constantly at the sight of him.)

That wife also appeared in The Advertiser posing on an old Fire Engine with some Dalmatians at the MFS headquarters as part of a joint promotion for their vehicle collection and Dalmatians.
My second wife had appeared on TV regularly as lead singer of a local folk group back in those days.

I was too young to remember but I do know that mum took us to a Channel 7 show with Sammy Seagull at 4pm'ish. We were "on" camera for a few minutes and sat the rest of the time in the audience - aged about 4! Circa 1974!

Then in 1995/1996 I tried out for the long distance kicking comp at Footy Park, conducted by Today Tonight. I remember Leigh McLusky was due to host the entire thing but was stuck in traffic so the little bloke (still with Today Tonight) hosted and interviewed us individually.

I finished 4th from memory, after having a kick off during a Crows Western Bullies game. Prize was to be at the game! I think first won some money - can't recall. The guy who won, Stuart someone from Henley or Greek kicked 86m that day with room to spare. I struggled like blazers to get 58 or 59 from memory that day. He sh1t it in as the saying goes!

Edit might've been this show: http://thebestjudge.files.wordpress.com ... 976_ps.jpg at 4pm on Seven. Note that till 11.30 on Ch 7 in the morning the only viewing was the test pattern.

A bloke from EPFC called Carey Payne won the high marking contest run by Today Tonight IIRC!

I think he may even post on SAFooty just not in the general discussion section ;)
