This is an act of bastardry, by a boss who just got a 70% pay rise, now on $5 million, who wants to take the company offshore.

He'll only get support from those who support the top end of town over the workers.

(Oh, and those on here who have turned on their auto-pilot and whine out the usual "it's all the government's fault).

Not good, Mr Joyce.

It is the governments fault ...... Weak as water R&B !!!

What a weak as p**s government we have at the moment .... At least Joyce had the balls to actually be proactive and do something !!!!

Some fairly ignorant posts by some who have no idea what Unions are about and what they have done for everyone. Is there anyone at Qantas happy ? The Pilots have called for Joyce to be sacked immediately . I am tipping it maybe his issue and not the Union , he just wants to play that worn out card. Joyce and many CEO's are just plain greedy and "bludge" on the hard work done by their employees to deliver results.
But if you don't agree then please cash in your annnual leave , work your weekends , work overtime and donate your pay increases to a worthy cause . Post your cheques to PO BOX 10 Unley.

Well, southee, I think you'd agree that The Financial Review is hardly a pro-union rag, but even they say the unions haven't got much to do with it.

It's just not the government's fault, it's been nothing to do with the government until now and I think they'll solve it quickly.

You might blame the unions and the government, but what's your comment on Mr Joyce's 70% pay rise?

Is that different?

A dividend.

Thay haven't had one for 3 years, but Mr Joyce got a 70% dividend, but has to exist on only $5 milion pa, so fair enough ;)

It's not.

You keep supporting the CEO's and their million dollar pay rises and I'll support the workers asking for 4% instead of 3%.

I tell you what, how about the workers don't get a cent above the 70% Joyce got ;)

I supported him with the action he took like some others on the board.

No one can answer the question....

How different is Joyces salary than anyone else in the BIG business world.

So what you are saying is Joyces salary should be the same as everyone else in the company??

That attitude reeks communism!!!!

well normally i support unions BUT this time i say good on Joyce.

This will show how strong the twu are!!!

The fact that the twu have gone to airports promising certain groups better representation, yet have done sweet **** all for anyone is quite humorous, especially whilst watching this saga unfold!!!

If your not arguing his salary Southee ,stop bringing it up.

The side dispute is about money , as is most disputes yet that gets the media focus.

Ray Charles could see that it is totally ignorant and disrespectful that you receive a huge salary increase yet begrudge those that do the leg work.

Yes he should be paid more , who said he shouldn't is more the question.

Do you work for a company Southee ?

I did not bring it up ....R&B did if you look back on the posts.

Whats it got to do if I work for a company or not??? Yes...managers get paid more than workers on the floor.....its been that way since B.C times mate!!

Obviously you are involved in a union and have grudges with upper higher management..
