Did not see any mention of aboriginals in the quote...
If we'd followed the doctrine incorrectly attributed to the French PM we'd all be speaking the local Aboriginal language.

If you think there are only 200 Islamic extremists in this country, you are being naive.

How many are there? ;;)

Because it is their land and their language and their culture that they have developed over 40,000 years we're all migrants. 8)

Don't see anywhere in the fake rant a statement saying we should speak what was spoken in the past in France. Otherwise he would have demanded everyone spoke some old form of Germanic no one speaks anymore. He said they should speak French because it is the official language of France. Now the official language of Australia, for better or worse, is English. So once again, I fail to see any relevance in the comment.

Does he know you take posts out of context? I imagine he would also know that he didn't say what was in the original post at all.

Darth, it seems my reference to your use of 'pinhead' coming from watching too much Bill O'Reilly was correct. I hadn't noticed your signature about the 'no-spin zone' before.

Another O'Reilly reference. One that is the epitome of 'spin'.

I hope that was a humorous, deliberate ploy to get someone to comment, as I can't believe anyone would fall for his nonsensical ramblings.

Please tell me you don't take him seriously.

Please :?

The "Fillon" doctrine demands that immigrants speak the local language - in his case French. If this doctrine was followed in Australia in the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries all new arrivals to Australia would be required to speak the local Aboriginal language.

No it demands they speak the official language. The only official language Australia has ever had is English.

Think this is an interesting point, I get what you are saying, yet am not sure if the problems that exist with this are actually cultural as opposed to religious - in one sense the V8's in Dubai this weekend will have full alcohol service amongst the spectators for those that like to have a beer. Yet in the other sense FIFA are warning people not to go to the world cup if they are gay, and I am not sure what is happening with drinking and hetro type activities as you suggest. Does smack a little of oppression to be fairly blunt, yet in this case perhaps its from FIFA themselves as opposed to the actual nation involved as FIFA would openly support and endorse the local culture by thier awarding of the competition to them.

Only an opinion but I believe FIFA are as crooked as a dogs hind leg and would have been bought off. Its all double standards anyway and us mere mortals will never change it so we cop it sweet eh?

They were migrants, too, and brought with them the Dingo, and fire as a hunting device, both of which changed the country's flora and fauna massively with huge losses of species.

We start at no date. No Australian citizen is entitled to feel more Australian than any other, or take any extra ownership of this country.
