Yes, the good old days when nightspots could only obtain an after midnight liquor licence if they served food ... hence the plate that was given to you as you entererd the door, only to be recycled for the next one coming in.

I think Lennies used to do that (on a Sunday night maybe), I dont know for sure, I was never there early enough (but always managed to find the Lamb Spit afterward)

Ah memories, "the pit" gee if you couldn't pull* there, time to wear fluro spandex, swot up on star signs and strike efeminate poses.

And yep straight down to the lamb spit for a greek nappy.

I use to find myself ending up in the Black Rose on Hindley occasionaly, never a pretty sight though.

Depends on how many Grandkids, the Grandparents have !

But we go out, just not so much a Nightclub or Pub on the piss more Dinner etc....

I guess we are lucky there, our boys are the first and only grandkids on both sides (and likely to stay that way for a while!) :D

I've tended to go out more on week nights - but not to get drunk and incapacitate myself for next day.
My last two weekend dinner outings, with friends, were at the Aldgate Pump and the Hyatt.

where was my place, iirc it was a little backstreet in the city..


It was on Hyde St.Which is off Pirie St, ,just up from where fasta Pasta is. The Second Story Youth centre is across the road from where it used to be.

The only two Sydney Pubs I've been into were on Paramatta Rd diagonally opposite each other - The Petersham Inn, and The Stag.
I was looking for my cousin who wasn't at his house in Leichhardt when I called in - I found him at The Stag.

the old joplins up stairs was agreat place in the late 90's are the memories, always got sloppy at joppy's

after a hard footy game winning or losing i like to kick back at my footy club for few but the beers taste better when you win..

favourite place in town would be dog and duck, HQ sometimes, london..

speaking of HQ im going to flash dance tonight :D :D :D
