Unbelievable !!

Another case of a father going troppo after a custody hearing (his was yesterday apparently). Counselling should be mandatory during and after such cases. Such a sad result that could have possibly been avoided.

yeah, one wonders if all parties acted reasonably (rarely the case), there would be less (hopefully none) of these outcomes?

Trouble is that some of the time the lawyers are as much to blame as anyone...$$$$$$$$

Years ago a mate of mine split from her hubby and all was very amicable and agreed...just wanted the divorce so they could both move on...both lawyers did everything they could to try and make the pair of them get into a war over everything. Thankfully they saw through the lawyers plan to drag things out for as long as possible and stuck to their guns. They got the papers, stayed friends and the lawyers went short.

I'll word this very carefully...

Nothing is more monsterous than killing children- especially your own flesh & blood.
I honestly don't know how someone gets in that state of mind to do it.

I have real concerns with the way society & the media portray (nay, whip up a frenzy) over this.
Mothers committing infanticide are portrayed as "helpless victims who need support through this difficult time".
I have read articles where they have suffocated/drowned/drugged etc, yet somehow we're led to believe that they really didn't do anything wrong- same goes for female sexual predators.
However, when men commit the above, they are portrayed as being awful & evil- which in most cases they are.

A heinous crime is a heinous crime, but what is this media fascination which portrays women good, men evil?

yeah well put Punk, but it is the Media, just look at their fascination with Sharks off our beaches even though their hasnt been an attack for 3 and 1/2 years....but there has been 11 drownings on our beaches this summer....what gets more publicity?
