Mate, definitely do it before you turn 31 and miss the window of opportunity. Living in London has been provided some of the best experiences of my life to date, particularly with Europe just a 30 quid, 1 hour flight away. It's far from plain sailing as bureaucracy in the UK makes some things painfully difficult, but getting through and finding ways of getting by in a different environment outside your comfort zone is very satisfying.

It's a massive decision to make, but I'm yet to meet anyone who's done it or is over here that has regretted it.

Have to agree with everything in this post. I am so glad that on a whim about this time last year I decided to move to London. Originally I thought I'd stay for a year, but now I think I'll be here for another couple at least.

My 'done' list to date:

1. Represented Australia in sport (albeit as an official)
2. Had one of my friends crowned Miss South Australia (yes, I have kissed by Miss South Australia and had her run her fingers through my hair  )
3. Spent a number of years as a volunteer with St. Vinnies (learned how wonderful people who do not have much in life can still be. I would take them any day over those who try to 'step on people' as they attempt to climb the corporate ladder).
4. Saw one of my heroes, Gladstone Small, play at Lords (yes, a great former Eagle!).
5. 'Scored' the winning runs in a West End Cup Grand Final at Adelaide Oval under lights.
6. Been present at Central's first premiership (and their next four).
7. Been to Medjugorje, the Vatican and a number of other sites sacred to my faith.
8. Been on a South Pacific Cruise
9. Travelled through Europe and spent time in my beloved England.
10. Been named 'Club Person of the Year' by my District Cricket Club.

11. Met JAS (unfortunately only in my dreams! )

It was ten years ago jtc. I have a photo part way up (didn't climb too far as the blocks were bigger than I thought). And I didn't go into the chamber, there were hordes of people there that day. Wasn't keen to be stuck in there....

Hmmm, now this is a hard one - was a long time ago. The race finished on a caution (didn't worry me, I was there right?). I remember Andretti jnr crashing in front of us - might google it but I think it was circa 1995....

I think it was 95 the last time I was there. I know it was the same year the Germans got shot in Cairo.

Now I think of it, I've been to Egypt twice, once to Cairo and once to Luxor and both times it was the same year as the massacars. And how about the locals. Talk about pressure selling

Ah well that will be it then. We were there the same time FFS! The 70 odd people were killed in Luxor the day after we were there! In fact, my partner at the time stayed in the bus with a couple of other fellow tourists (we were on a Nile cruise) because they'd come down with gastro and weren't feeling too good. I left him there and did the tour of Hatshepsut (sp.) temple. If we'd been 24 hours later, he might've been one of the people who got killed on the buses.

Lottery ticket moment.

Geez, I was there the same year, in Luxor. The attck on the tourists happened about two months before we went, so the agency offered to cut 50% off our holiday. We stayed at the Luxor Hilton, fantastic hotel, all inclusive, two weeks for about $600. Despite what had happened, we had a great time over there. I think it was a couple of years later when we went to Cairo.

The National museum was fantastic, King Tut was there along with several Ramases's. Bloody conning b'stards were charging $50.00 to take camera's in and then no one could use them with flash.
