I'm under 40 myself but i can't comprehend what exacly motivates an increasing number of men to acquire either.
I've been in a couple of European countries where their style and dress sense make us look like a bunch of slobs.
I console myself with the knowldege that a couple of 'rough nuts' (appearance wise) i have worked with were also amongst the most decent and honest in the workplace, far more than a few in suits sitting in the office.
Generally though (and we all generalise) highly visible tattoos indicate below level intelligence, and in some cases, utter stupidity, not to mention a certain 'i'm trying hard to look tough' mentality. The lad and ladette would not be complete without their adornments let's face it.

thats a bit rough i reckon. i know plenty of smart, succesful and well educated people who are getting or have got tattoos. to say tattoos suggest below level (im assuming below average is what you meant) intelligence would make me think your a short sighted ignorant individual who has a lack of respect for people based purely on their appearance.

If someone with a tat helped an old lady across the road I'd rather talk to him than some aggressive wanker with no tats who abuses his partner in public, for example

Assuming someone is a certain way just based on having a tat without getting to know them first is dangerous

They are definitely popular with young females from what I perv .... I mean see :D So as that generation works through the system it will get more and more accepted

Couldn't agree more :D

It depends what sort of tatt it is. If for example it was like Pero Vasiljevic's tatt who played in the NBL who had a tatt of his own name I'd be passing him by at the job interview!

Dubowik said he got the tattoo on a bet and that "it was the most horrible thing I ever went though in my life."
