They can stick their roulette up the arse...

Not worth playing unless u have a decent bankroll MT...

$2.50 tables:

Now with zero and double zero
$10 minimum bets for even money bets

$5 tables:
still have only 1 zero
$25 minimum for even money bets

The only other option is the touch screen roulette down stairs...

IIRC its $1 for a straight up and $5 for evens, but total bets must be $5 per spin, ie: 5 numbers straight up for $1 each etc

Not at all. I used to dabble in the greyhounds a few years back, that's about it for me. Very interested in odds and markets though, particularly for sports and elections.

If u like odds then there are some helpful poker related books and articled u would like..

Lots of the 'younger' generation of poker players use the maths, pot odds and odds of a card hitting to make their decisions for them..

Yeah I'd like to get a bit of science behind my play, especially given that I'm a whizz at maths. At this stage I play poker by instinct only - probably why I have pretty poor record.

Get hold of the Dan Harrington books to start with I reckon mate, then that other dude (name is escaping me and its killing me, older dude huge Maths philosophy, Mickey will know - Actually, David Sklansky maybe?)

I started with the Harrington books which helped and hindered for a while .. Obviously when opponents bet to ruin the pot odds you shouldn't be folding a winning hand on odds alone, and you don't always have the luxury of several Golden "spots" to put it on the line with great reward.

They have been going downhill in that regard a lot IMO.

Shuffle machines on BJ tables, Increased betting minimums on all games, etc.

driving the small player away or forcing them to visit less often than normal..

Ive got one of those .. There's a few books by Helmuth too on the whole body language thing.

Probably worth reading up on the history of the WSOP too, sounds as though it started out as a pretty regimented game where everybody abided by the same philosophies and styles, playing the percentages etc .. But the likes of Gus Hansen style players with the aggression they show (is nothing about cards, but more a personal game) have revolutionised it (as far as I can tell).

The 1st World Series had 1 table of invited players, after x amount of days they were asked to vote for who they thought the best player was... they all voted for themselves, lol.

Then they had a re vote where there was no self voting, and Johnny Moss won unanimously
