Watching BEHIND THE NEWS once a week in school-time. I reckon I also watched "The Colonials" on at least one occasion in both primary school and high school as well.

Which reminds me of references to "Green Death" - Southwark - is that beer still produced? I never drank it myself but I can recall my dad speaking about it and what a horrible beer it was.

During the week I was watching that show Gillian Armstrong produced about the three girls from Adelaide. It followed their lives from 1976 to the present (with various intervals). The footage from 1976 showed one of their dads at the kitchen table with a bottle of green death. My wife pissed herself when I called it green death. Being a Perth girl she'd never heard that expression.

I never thought there was anything wrong with "green death" certainly no worse than VB (vile beer) :lol: I think there was a Southwark Gold as well that sold for a short time. Who made Big Barrell Lager?
