Just on Spics and Specs, hasn't young Myf treated herself over Christmas. Looks like she indulged in a few double helpings of Turkey and Plum Pud!!!

BAck on Thread - Women!!!

Why is that whenever there is a social function they have to get something new - shoes, necklace, bag...

FFS any danger in wearing the same outfit and accessories twice???

Just had the phone call from Mrs Tassie informing me she needs new shoes for a 30th tomorrow night....

It is a result of them constantly fearing they have gained weight. I'll try and find the article I read on it once, someone did a 'paper' on it in the US.

It basically said that women are much more inclined to feel they have gained weight, even when they know they havent, therefore making them feel compelled to find a new outfit for fear of the old one not fitting like it did in the shop when they purchased it just some months or even weeks ago.

The author linked it to an instinct that in our developmental period as humans which made women more attractive to men therefore ensuring her kind lived on. Times changed and it became men who were keen on the reproductive aspect. Still are. :(

Anyway, it stems from constantly trying to be more appealing than other women.

But yes,it gives me the shits too.

Simple solution, everytime she buys a dress, go and buy yourself a new pair of jeans, she gets some shoes, you go and grab some too, a new handbag, go and get another sports bag, the spending will soon ease.

I must say I'm pretty lucky in that regard, I've given my missus a couple hundered bucks to go and waste on clothes from time to time, she just hates parting with money on things for herself, I try and get her gift vouchers nowadays for presents and she still hardly uses them.

To be fair, they probably have trouble understanding why we have to go to the pub every coupla days, or watch every possible waking minute of footy during winter ... If clothes, Jewellery, Accessories etc keep her off your back, don't question it mate, just accept and let it be. :D

Oh yeah, WGT I'm aware of the consequences of saying no and yes CP if I want a golf day or a late night after the footy....yep well its pretty tight between this rock and a hard place....

I just had to vent....

*sigh*

Mind you I have to say 'her indoors is pretty good in that she does look for the bargins and sets herself a limit...

Mind you I don't know if I will not be able to say anything the next time I try to open the wardrobe but can't because of the excess shoes blocking the wardrobe door tracks....
