Yep, he was mortified that none of his work mates felt they could approach him about it. He told me he had a skin condition and he'd tried all types of sprays, roll ons, sticks etc and nothing agreed with him so he went without but in reality didn't know as nobody had ever said anything to him. He was used to it.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.
