If you think it is anything more than them being absolute f*ckwits you're over thinking it.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

As an ex-soccer player and someone who loves the game, Booney has absolutely nailed the reason.

That being said anyone who goes to any sporting contest and goes beyond banter into abuse, exhibits f*ckwitery of the highest level.

Have a look at the supporter group. That answers most of the issue

Why the rate of f*ckwits in Soccer is higher than any other sport though?

I saw vision of some Hawthorn supports last Thursday night - AFL has its fair share

I have also spent plenty of time over in NZ for rugby. Plenty of effwits there as well.
Unusual thing is it is 99% whites that want to punch on. The Maori & Islanders tend to laugh and get on after the game (to a point in the night when the old rule kicks in)

Half a dozen drunk Hawks vs Hundreds marching through the streets faces covered with flares is your comparison?

How do you wear your flares on your face?

Surely, you're not saying punch ups are morally a better outcome than some people letting of flares.

Every week there is new footage of punch ups in AFL crowds.....all only metres away from families and kids.

Every week recently there is new footage of punch ups in AFL crowds.....all only metres away from families and kids. Geez we've even got people trying to take load guns into an AFL game recently.

Absolute nonsense this has been blown up. Literally not one lie was said by Milera
"Fellas, it’s OK to be in pain. It’s OK to hurt. It’s OK to be sad. It’s no longer OK to suffer in silence."

Isolated incidents vs mounted police trying to herd up hundreds of f*ckwits who are hiding their identity with face coverings.

Drunk idiots vs coordinated chaos. No comparison.

When police are called in from off duty to help control the AFL crowds and mounted police are deployed to keep supporter groups separated get back to me.

When they make a movie based on AFL hooliganism, I'll concede the point.
