Im hating it. My rainwater tanks will be overflowing into my pergola area, my shed will be leaking, my front yard will be a swimming pool.

( I have a big old house with double pitch roof that catched lots or water and in my year in the house I have been unable to fully prepare the stormwater solution. )

I like rain, but I'm in a somewhat similar situation, Booney.
The place I bought 14 months ago has an issue with inadequate drainage in heavy rain and the back verandah floods in big downpours.
Like you, I haven't completed the solution, but today's test demonstrates I'm on the right track - only partial flooding this time and not for long.
I'll need another 18 metres of 90mm pipe to fix the other end then I'll be right.
Fortunately, once I get all the water to the front of the house it will all run away as I'm well uphill from the road.

I am on the right track too. My tanks have 90mm inlets but only 75mm overflows ( Dont ask, I didnt install them ) and this causes the gutters to "back up" and over flow as well as the overflows running to high ground and spilling sideways from there. I have moved the overflows to lower ground and one is in a garden bed at the rear of the property.

I want to keep using the tanks but in all honesty dont need the water as I have a bore sunk in the yard to water my garden with and we dont drink the rainwater.

I need to run, like you, some rather decent meterage of 90mm pipe to my front gardenbeds. I also have a very large ( 15m X 9m ) old shed with a flat roof that needsa replacing, much of the galv sheet is rusty and has some holes. That sadly is a fairly large $$ figure which I dont have at hand right at the minute and will have to wait.

I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.
