What a joke, if it wasn't a mandatory training requirement I wouldn't have done it.. i totally zoned out the last 45min - hope there wasn't anything important in it

Oh wait, i get your stupid joke  very funny

I could only dream of working in a company that does "training" and has "assessments" and "appraisals".

This place is a complete shambles.

Yeah but when there's no training across the company, the poor bastards that take the time to learn how to do everything are the ones that get lumped the work.

Also, sales meetings are very foreign to our reps, who are left alone to "work" "autonomously".

I thought all companies did assessments/appraisals?

Don't you have scorecards or performance reviews? KPI's?

Knowing HH3's workplace ( enough ) I think they'd be hard pressed taking the beige curtains down and putting some nice blinds up.

We don't do much in way of training, we go to bi-annual sales conferences either in Australia or New Zealand, but in all reality it's a mash up of rugby / cricket jokes and lots of beer. There's some "training" on new product development, we do very little week to week though.

We do however have KPI's that don't necessarily need to be met as our industry ebbs and flows and static KPI's aren't truly reflective of an individuals performance, but the KPI's need to be the target for your monthly sales.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

When I ask him if he's been places, he gets stroppy and thinks I'm insinuating he doesn't do anything.....

I am...but toughen up.
