Spent two days of the weekend building a new veggie patch from scratch with 4 tonne of soil. Has 50 plants in it so hopefully over time I will recoup some of the costs. Got to do it with my lads, was great getting our hands dirty together, doesn’t happen enough.

Built dog proof fence with metal to allow light in, forgot our chickens could squeeze through the gaps. They had a field day for a short time

Young lass from SA Power Networks, up in a cherry picker in strong winds chain saw in hand cutting large branches off a large gum tree that took out our powerlines. Never flinched once and got she job done in smart time, only a small lass as well, came down with a beaming smile

I had an immaculate veggie patch a few years ago, built a seemingly dog proof fence to surround it.

Got home around 7pm one Sunday after leaving at 7am for kids cricket all day to go outside to water them and there’s the big lug of a dog laying down over the plants flattening a few, he looked at me and shat himself, jumped up and bounded over the fence dodging the tennis balls I chucked at him.

Worst thing was, I only put the fence up once they started growing well, was never an issue prior

Getting to drive 6 laps of Mallala in a V8 touring car, then doing 2 hot laps as passenger, on Saturday morning. Geez that was fun.

Australia coming 2nd to France in France for the Motocross of Nations yesterday after coming 3rd last year to France & America in America.
Really looking forward to the Bend getting a round of the World Motocross championships next year & then crossing everything they apply to host the MXoN while we have a chance of actually winning it with the Lawrence brothers in their prime.

Greetings from Dublin.
My wife and I have just completed a 2500 km anticlockwise drive around Ireland.- from Dublin through northern Ireland and then down the west coast and back to Dublin for a brief rest. Tomorrow we catch the ferry from Dublin to Holyhead in north Wales. Then we hire a car and travel Wales before flying home via Birmingham Frankfurt and Singapore. We drove a Kia Sportage and will get something similar in Wales..

PS: I'll celebrate my 80th birthday driving around Wales...
