Big Miss Jase was due to have her first Level 6 gymnastics competition on Saturday arvo, and was having g the teams final traininsession Friday night.

The very last tumbling pass before the cool down started at the end of the session, she misjudged her Back Sault and fell on her arm/wrist.

We ended up I hospital at 8:45 pm and ended up leaving after inconclusive xrays at 3:30am.

She was devo about missing her comp, and potentially another 2 comps ,but still wanted to go and cheer on her team.

You could see her little (big) heart breaking when her teammates where competing but she kept on cheering for them...

Hopefully thr follow up xrays on Wednesday will be clear and a couple of weeks she'll be back.

Hope she’s ok. You’ve taught her well Jase, always support your team mates.

My daughter was at the same comp, level 6. Failed to upgrade by 0.04 overall...

She had another comp on the weekend and upgraded convincingly! Between last comp and this one, worked hard on one skill to add to her bars that guarantees another 0.5 point.
Congrats to Miss MW...

The amount of time and dedication the girls put in is amazing...

Miss Jase upgraded as well... now onto State Champs at the end of the month...

First run without it being footy training or games for years

5km average pace 4.50, running on Spalding oval which is a heavy 11

Actually enjoyed….might see if I can bring the average pace down.

Time to enjoy more brisket today.

Weber lit. Beers on the go.

Hickory soaking. Leg defrosting and soon to be “rubbed”…

Footy on the radio, and from what I can glean, better than watching it.

Bottle of red yet to be selected.

Happy Easter.

Heard overnight that it may be the coldest Easter Sunday in Melbourne for 80(?) years.

May need something after the red to keep warm.

Fresh Hazy IPA from Kick Back.

Mrs Boon driving home from Aldinga.

The Aussie Male palate has definitely evolved. I had Tommy Ruff Sliders for tea.

I’ve never known anyone born after 1960 that has eaten sardines voluntarily.

Introducing a third person into our relationship.

Went to the Alberton for Thursday night steak night last night and after ordering and sitting down at our table I noticed an older lady sitting on her own at a table. I said to Mrs Boon if our food and her food comes out at the same time I'll ask her to join us for dinner. Our meals came out, the young lad waiting tables went back into the kitchen and came out with her roast pork. Ingrid accepted my invitation and we all had dinner together.

She came out from Germany 69 years ago to learn English, fell in love with a Bavarian man, had two kids, lived in Alberton, owned and ran the bakery in Sussex St for years. She was a joy to talk too and couldn't have been happier to have been invited to have dinner with us. Her husband passed away late 90's and her adult children, like us all, live their own lives and while she's active at the Austrian club weekly, a book club and several other activities she was thrilled to have some company over dinner.

We've already booked in for dinner on Thursday night next week with her. Felt good to do something good and it didn't cost a thing.
