Thread titles that don't relate to the topic or imply another topic

Current examples from SANFL board ...

"Sturt supporters" .... actually about the progress of a young Sturt PLAYER
"Sitting here having a few wines" .... actually about whether your SANFL team will improve in 2009

Or ones like "why", "how come", "here we go again", etc, etc. Or where the first sentence is split between the title and the first line of the topic.

:?

I know 95% of titles are accurate to the topic but these stray ones are a pain when you are scanning the boards to avoid opening every single topic. Maybe I'm just being pendantic but it gives me the sh1ts! :D
In between signatures .....

hearts on fire wrote:I understand all of those points made, school is the best part of our lives, once I leave school and enter the "real world" and start working, i will soon realise how vital it was, but in saying that, school has changed a bit since you guys went and it also depends on which school you go to, what type of person you are and how "well" you actually want to do.

I go to a very sh1t school, no money and public school (nothing wrong with that) and the standard is pretty low, alot of students fail and do not do much at all, and that sets the tone for everyone. I am in between, i am no where the best student, but i am average. No one really wants to learn, so this makes it hard for the teachers, and they find it hard to teach. Alot of students just go with the flow, just cruise through and do not worry about learning.

I had the choice to go to a private, "higher class school", but i chose to go to this one because of obviously my mates, im not the smartest going around(im not dumb though  ) and it just isn't me, i couldn't see myself at a private school. At the end of the day, I know i will make it through school and get a decent job but i just find that alot of teachers take things way out of context, overcomplicate things, when they could be straight to the point and teach things we actually need!!

By the way, i am taking all of your posts on board, i know us teenagers think we know everything  and are pains in the arses, but at the end of the day we are only learning, one day i bet i will be telling kids exactly what you guys are telling me!

I'm sure the school leaving age has increased in the 6 years since I was in Year 12, but what I found is that those that don't care won't be there by Year 12. Is the school leaving age 16 or 17 now?

26 Page Government Booklets to fill in, for new small arrivals. I was mighty tempted to send the little bloke back until he was old enough to do the paperwork himself.

Yep fustrating, but you'll find most centres like that will only allow so many people to be on hold before you're thrown off the back of the queue..

It's not even that hot here, but it makes me dread December and January.

That's what I was expecting myself about increasing the leaving age. You know that those that don't care will either wag or cause trouble in the classroom.

I would have thought that if your schools/kids are anything like ours there would be disruptive pupils who don't want to be there or wag in every year group.

Of course, but the most important year level is the last year of high school, and that's when you want fellow students who want to achieve around.
