Not missing much - worst takeaway/fast food there is.

Yeah, the desire is still there to be a fat pig.

Just paid $27.9 for a beef parmi at the taminga hotel in Clare. Bloody ripoff. Was quite small too. Like $10 lunch special small. Crumbs were soggy too.

Salad bar looked ok but tasted shit too. Soup was inedible. Haven't had dessert yet but feel like I need to just get some semblance of value.

1/10.

One of the Giannitto franchise pubs so pretty much the same service and menu as their others. Normally their food is ok but a bit pricey

Have they fixed their soft serve machine yet? Last time I was there took 2 minutes to fill the little black dessert bowl.
Besides that ive rated it the last couple times ive been there, any pub that has dessert as part of the buffet wins me :D

Soft serve was the best part haha.

I always go little kid style and put sprinkles and strawberry topping on it :)

I sent through the above before dessert, it can get another point for that.

The bloke they report to on the board is well known for running several venues around town and is slowly building a portfolio of establishments and would not stand for poor outputs.

Well im hoping they have changed. About 12yrs ago they were really good and we went regularly . But they started slipping about 7yrs ago and we only went there intermittently until they ****** up a chicken parmi (2 strikes) and a full brekky didnt have tomatoes....as they didnt have any.. but plenty if local IGAs around were open. And we werent warned about it. We asked when our plates arrived.

So the entree
I had crumbed Brie which was quite tasty
Mrs had the lamb and enjoyed it.

Mains
I went with the melt in mouth Barra and superbly seasoned skin.
The beef Duo was also a winner.

Dessert
I had the chocolate torte...nice and rich.
The waffles looked good also.

The waitress..i reckon Canadian had a very ddelicious set of cans.

$156 down to $117 with ent card

Service a tad slow at the start but picked up to suitable levels.

Food was outstanding.
Ambience/boobs was great

9/10

Stopped in at the Mawson Lakes Hotel for the first time ever the other day.
Geezus, never again, makes the Reepham seem like the Hyatt.
A guy with a glass eye wouldn't stop talking to me, told me he lost his eye in Darwin as when his fire cracker didn't go off he bent down to see what was wrong with it and bang. Summed up the intelligence of those there!

In other pub related news head down to the Sussex for a night of karaoke tonight and my last ever shift there! :D

Keep trying mate, are you getting a bit bored?

Front Bar is a bit rank and I'd prefer to drink at the Reepham too despite the Uber fare vs the walk.

Yeah was talking about the front bar, luckily I was only there for 3 beers as I took my son in law to a job interview nearby. Your first sentence confused me as did you on another post.

Fair point. The Grog Squad used to think I had a nuffy flute as I'd attract any loon within a 5km radius quicker than the Pied Piper would find a rat!
I must have a friendly face or something. :?

I'd rather talk to the nuffy in the corner at the pub then stare inside my schooner glass and talk to myself.
You learn interesting facts from people at the pub.
