Yes, very true. I've had to do the same when shopping at sparrow's fart.

(That not rival supermarket chain, by the way). ;)

Going to the usual cafe at the train station and ordering the usual drink to the usual staff ... and getting a size larger than I always order, so the coffee is diluted to the point where it tastes like it was made by diddling a piece of brown chalk in hot water for 30 seconds.

Then trudging to the platform to find that my train is down the far end, the third in a queue of separate trains - yet the platforms to the right and to the left are both vacant.

I expect the day to get worse; I have to deal with students in the afternoon, and have not been properly caffeinated...

Rocking up to Woodville Oval on Saturday for the juniors, expecting to be able to use the best away team rooms in the SANFL for an in-room warm up for the 18s, only to find a half completed permanent wall dividing the rooms up.

FFS there used to be moveable partitians to make the one room into two so it had a degree of flexibility now the flexibility is gone.

Oh well over to Woodville CC practice pitches for the warm up

Wonder who gave the approval for this work to go ahead? Cricket Club? Or Football?

Do Ticketmaster charge fees o those tickets too? So therefore double dip on the same ticket?

Yep, they increase the ticket price then whack you with more ridiculous fees.

If would be a good idea if it was just a way of allowing people who can't go anymore to resell their tickets - for my crows members tickets I can opt to put them back in the pool and they are then sold as public sale tickets. And I get some portion back, no idea how much though.

That is a good idea imo. Being able to sell them at vastly inflated prices is rubbish.

The folks who know me on this forum know of my 20 year struggle with mental illness, and I guess those who didn't now know too.

I got hauled into the manager's office after work on Sunday, and he asked me how my health was going. I've never been one to shy away from telling the truth, so I filled him in.

Then the prick told me not to tell any co-workers about it. **** me, if I can't shoot the shit and be honest about myself, what's the point in opening my mouth? Apparently one of my co-workers got freaked out with a throwaway response I gave her, when she asked how I was going.

Unfortunately, it's not the first time I've been told to shut my mouth about this topic.

Keep on keeping on luv.

In other news, i'm not sure which thread this belongs in but this'll do

Waking up this morning to find out that there had been a murder pretty much at the end of my street (and in the units next door to where I used to live)

A bit close to home. I've pretty much lived in the area for all of my adult life and have never remotely had anything like this happen.

The units where the person was killed have always been occupied by the elderly, which makes it worse.
