I don't doubt Walsh's death was one of a few factors for Jaensch's actions - but I agree, to actually use it as an excuse shows little respect to so many.
Having said that, his form on the drink is pretty ordinary and widely known in footy circles.

My father passed away recently, I didn't feel the need to put others lives at risk and drink drive because of that, I continued to catch taxis when I was going to pubs.
It's not a factor, the fact he's a self centred peanut with an attraction to trouble is the factor.
Didn't have the balls to even front up himself to the hearing.

I tend to agree with you Wedgie. When I saw that it was mentioned that he was grieving at the time I firstly could understand but to be using that as a defense was very disrespectful.

Whislt I dont doubtit would have effected him as it would anybody, I doubt it was the main contributor. I believe he made some very poor decisions and needs to take responsibility for them.
