Been home today, just getting asked to organise stuff for the rest of the week and let other staff know what's happening.

Matthew Jaensch using Phil Walsh's death in his defense. Absolutely piss weak and disrespectful. What's his excuses for all the other times he's done something stupid before that?

I don't doubt Walsh's death was one of a few factors for Jaensch's actions - but I agree, to actually use it as an excuse shows little respect to so many.
Having said that, his form on the drink is pretty ordinary and widely known in footy circles.

My father passed away recently, I didn't feel the need to put others lives at risk and drink drive because of that, I continued to catch taxis when I was going to pubs.

I tend to agree with you Wedgie. When I saw that it was mentioned that he was grieving at the time I firstly could understand but to be using that as a defense was very disrespectful.

Whislt I dont doubtit would have effected him as it would anybody, I doubt it was the main contributor. I believe he made some very poor decisions and needs to take responsibility for them.

It doesn't stop there either. If you look around the world the amount of violence is horrific. Not sure where we are heading as a race to be honest.

Calm down people. He pleaded guilty. Mentioning the Phil Walsh thing was showing the court where his mental health was at along with his injuries. Yes he is a clown but that does not mean he does not have feelings and might be struggling with what happened to Phil and the mental toll of an ACL has taken on him...which clearly is a lot considering he has retired from AFL.

Fair call, having a crack at a bloke from the cheap seats who clearly isn't in a good state of mind is pretty average form.
