Yeah I don't see what everyones rush is either.

If we don't get a park in the first lap of a carpark, i have to prepare myself for the impending meltdown over in the passenger seat.

Should've seen it at Aldi last weekend.......lordy.

(I nearly got run over at Costco by a maniac in a Carolla once too....hey FC....) ;)

I think of others and will not inconvenience others for my own sake, it tells me a lot about their character with people that don't think like I do. They shouldn't be a part of a community. Shoot them all I say!

Car parks are small places - having cars banking up behind you, as you'd like to drive off quicker when you leave is stupid.

Plus:
- If you are about to drive out, while I'm trying to reverse out, I can't see your brake lights to know you're leaving
- getting into your boot is hard
- you actually make it harder for me to get in and out of the car, and yourself, because there's less angle for you to open your door.

And this is all because you want to be able to take off quicker.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

What a piece of work this bloke is.

His claim that he was too busy in his own "learning" ( about his imaginary friend ) too give a shit about children being raped was just so care free, like it mattered zilch to him and it is abhorrent, it's disgusting and **** him, never let him back in the country.

Nope. I say let him back in the country, then arrest him. Lets see his inaginary mate he learned so much about look after him in the general population

waiting 10 minutes - yes 10 minutes at the front of the Churchill Road/Torrens road lights this morning because the stupid lights kept missing our rotation.

This!!!
I love their logic, take 5 mins extra to park a car inconveniencing up to ten others for the 5 minutes each so they'll save 3 seconds when they leave. These wankers should be shot!

Must admit I can't ever remember being this inconvenienced by car park reversers, though my missus gets a bit of a chuckle out of those that seem to want to reverse in at all costs. :D

I have done it myself in the past (varying reasons) and can do it quite quickly, but NEVER if it would cause a 'net negative' ie, if I can't be 100% satisfied of avoiding causing injury or mis-hap, if it's illegal (which is clearly sign-posted in some places), or if it might hold people up, even if only for a few seconds (hate doing that.) All that said, I can't remember the casual sensitivities of passers by ever being much of a deterrent.

What does irritate me off about reversers are the load mouth telepathics. You know the ones - drive at least two spaces past an empty spot, no indicators or any sign that they want the spot, and abuse others because they've innocently taken up the spot and started unloading in the mean-time. Yes, happened to me recently.

People who ignore allocated walk-ways are another that get under my skin a bit. Sure, everyone has a touch of brain-fade, but these blighters that you know have seen people, particularly families, waiting to cross and drive through anyway (with plenty of opportunity to stop) need to stand back and have a good look at themselves, IMHO.

While it's never been an inconvenience, another car park phenomenon that I have noticed is drivers, streams of them, drive around for a while trying to get a park near the entrance of a building when there are plenty of free ones inside a minute-ish walk away. A net benefit for some depending on the health or age of of the drivers or their passengers, but surely not all of them.

Turning right into Torrena Rd no doubt.
Churchill Rd used to be a nice little shortcut, traffic banked from Torrens to Regency now at peak hour. Gunna be a treat when those apartments are finished.

Really.. thanks for reminding us, you hadn't told us yet this week.

No problem I give a shit about the abuse of children and make no apology for my attack on this scum bag and the institution .

What concerns me is the lack of feedback from someone like you who is more concerned about sitting in traffic lights or reverse parking .

Its ridiculous, whenever there's a train the one passageway that isn't blocked by the train ie Churchill/Torrens is the one that misses two rotations of lights while the cars that have to wait for the train get two rotations of lights their way. I'm sure someone's taking the piss.
To avoid it I'd take a shortcut and come out by the Bombay Bicycle club and do a U turn just before the railway line.

Would've been because the dickhead in pole position wasn't sitting over the the plate, I see it all the time, even my kids point it out, we feel like pulling over and laughing at them get mad at the lights not knowing it's their own stupid fault.

That wasn't directed at you specifically

I've seen people try and jump on them to set the lights off. But they are a magnetic induction coil so they rely on a big hunk of metal passing above them to work

No worries, I didn't know that and was keen to find out if I was mistaken, that does seem excessive as I've never had a problem with them, I pull up and then usually am motoring again with a couple of minutes.

True, but not entirely, at high traffic intersections at peak hour where sequencing will be programmed to coincide with other intersection in the area to ensure best possible traffic flow. Who works this out I don't know ( well, I do know one Traffic Engineer ) as more often than not it seems to be working to clog up congestion.

Having said that, what's the worst traffic you could encounter in lil'ol Radelaide?
