Will the Boon family be required to purchase new threads to gain admittance, or have the standards of the Parade dining establishments dropped in recent years?

Standards dropped when Big Phil moved in.

Does Phil live in Norwood?

I don't think so, we'd have heard something by now if he did ;)

Went to the Lion. Food was sensational, service was brilliant and extremely visually stimulating. Only negative is it's not cheap as we payed $340 for 6 people. Steak is worth the $40 a serve as it is a fine piece of meat and 280g of succulent flavour.

Went to Red Ass at Semaphore last night after hearing big things from a few people.

Made a booking for 7.45pm, got there just before it and they told me I was an hour late. Still got a table, but they still tried to make me feel like i was the one that ****** up.

Ordered and every table around us emptied, filled, ate and then emptied again before we got anything.

The chick that took my order told me i should probably get a serve of rice to go with my garlic prawns, so i did. Once I had my meal there was no way of eating them together so had a plate of plain rice that i didnt eat.

For 4 adults and one kid it cost us about $200 and i dont think any of us will go back. Especially considering Spice N Ice is around the corner, their foods better, and its a nicer experience there.

3/10

Looking for a nice atmospheric place for 6-8 to go for tea in a couple of weeks as a birthday surprise for Mrs Jase...

Cant be Asian or Indian... she doesn't like either...

Recommendations in the North East or close surrounds would be greatly appreciated...

It's not North East but Stonehouse Grill either on North Terrace or Port Road Woodville is delicious with pleasant atmosphere and reasonably priced. My Mums vegetarian and even she liked it

Just went to the Henley Beach Pub - using the voucher

I purchased a chicken dinner - basically the same as I had at The Victory

this was slightly cheaper - YET - this was absolutely brilliant!

stay away from The Victory at Sellicks - absolute rubbish

the service at The Henley was very good and prompt and it was busy.

so far on the entertainment book saved about $140

Went to the Franklin Hotel for lunch today, on Franklin St in the city. Sat out in the beer garden, almost empty, really cool new decor and top food. Main for main in the Ent Book. Couldn't fault.

Just came back from Ba Guo Bu Yi on Gouger St

very very good. Traditional chinese, so if you are after westernised chinese style food you will probably be disappointed, but otherwise it was excellent.

Highly recommend.

Not sure about entertainment book, went there for a birthday so didn't choose the place.

There was 8 of us, and we ordered 6 mains and a whole bunch of smaller dishes to all come out together, plus wine and beers, was about $320 total which is pretty reasonable.

Probably prefer cafe Kowloon if you want more casual chinese or concubine for something nicer but it excellent and I'll definitely go back.
