went to byron bay last year and tried everything i can get my hands on, they are very very good at brewing beer.

Other ones i can remember were jasper ale, which was a dark/red ale, and Stone beer, which was a massive stout.

Have been giving No.32 a thorough testing this afternoon. Passed with flying colours. Cascade Pale Ale is well worth a try also, as is doing the brewery tour with a pregnant missus, that way you get to have a good go at all the samples at the end.

Your poison of choice?

Postby bennymacca » Tue Feb 02, 2016 8:44 pm

My birthday was Saturday, and my sister in law Just gave me a mixed 24pack of some of the hottest 100 beers, what a cracking present!

I think it's from the 2014 list, and they are all normal stubby size so quite a few of the big IPAs aren't there as they are normally long necks, but still awesome

I'm gonna try and have them in reverse order

Just went through the beers that were in the carton, and I have listed them here. I have tried 13 of the 24 beers already, 11 new ones isn't bad since I am up to 396.

I have also included the ratings I have given the beers I have tried so far, out of 5, but ill update those ratings as I go.

My rating system is

5 - The very best beers I have ever drank - I have only given 2 beers 5 stars.
4+ - Truly Excellent, will actively seek out and have again
3+ - Very good, will happily buy again
1.5-2.5 - flavourless, but still beer - i.e most mass produced lagers
less than 1.5 - has flavours that i actually dislike

After several weeks of drinking pretty much only my brew made at U Brew It, I got stuck into some beers at the pub last night. **** me, am I ****** this morning! My head is a mess, my guts doesn't know whether to sit or jump, it's rank.

The preservative free gear at home hasn't done this to me in 2 months.

Ick.

IPAs are cold too mate :D

Bit rich calling something crap just because you dont like it. Also nothing wrong with just preferring easy drinking lagers, but not sure why you need to come and tell us all about it.
