Took me a little while to get into it, but got there in the end.
I used to own a game called Diplomacy which was similar and not bad either.

Wicked game! One of my favourites. Every now and then my wife organises Risk arvo's with her friends. Great fun when you have every army in play. A few drinks and usually a fair bit of sledging across the board.

We had five armies in play last night.
Got pretty boisterous towards the end, when one of my mates started to get arrogant about smashing us. Good times!

I've developed some awesome strategies for that game, haven't been beaten in about the last twenty games. We usually have 4 to 6 players, all of the rest dedicate one of them to be a kamikaze against me to try and diminish my armies once I've set up my no-go zones for the enemy. Classic game, have seen it last up to 16 hours.

Pay rises.

Boss - "Booney, how does a pay rise sound? "

Booney - "Always good"

Boss - "How does a carton of beer on a Friday from *insert local pubs name here*, just go in and put it on the account, ok?"

Booney - "Sounds like I am thirsty"

I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Yep we had that one as kids too...dad then progressed to another horse racing one...forget the name of it...that had about 4 vinyl records with about 4 or 5 different race commentaries/results on each so when the race was about to start you threw dice (I think) to determine which commentary to play.
