Doctor said it was a pretty aggressive form and there was a strong chance I'd be in nappies and a wheelchair 1-2 years later. Despite some dark moments behind closed doors in the early years, Ive generally managed to put up a good front and it's not something I really discuss much with people'. Anyhoo, despite relatively staying on top of it mentally, I've always been a bit nervous about the day I needed to move to a chair permanently and I've been pretty convinced for a while that day would arrive this year or early 2021.
Like I said I'm not the type to openly discuss my issues, but having just come back from the rehab specialist who thinks I've done a great job with my physical therapies and that Im not in any immediate need to become wheelchair bound, Im pretty f***in chuffed lol and felt the need to blurt it out. No doubt I'll be embarressed about this post later, but pumped to not have to worry about it for the immediate future![]()
Best thing I’ve heard in ages, mate.
Stay strong.
