Little Creatures Pale Ale is still so far ahead of the rest of the pack for people who appreciate decent beer its not funny. I really do struggle to drink anything else now.
Getting expensive but worth every cent!

Hard to imagine in this day and age people still drink West End, Carlton United, etc. God knows how, must be the feral element who are clueless and would drink their own p!ss. Mind you a lot of people still buy Commodores adding to that argument. :lol:

I thought it was puss and I don't drink any of the beers you mentioned below that. It's obviously an aquired taste. Maybe I should try it again one day and see how I go.

=D> Agreed, i found it quite tasty and was devestated when the Mrs cut me off after 3 imperials because i had to drive. I find it hard to believe anyone could say they didnt like it as for me personally it just seemed to have a generically good beer taste but i guess everyones tastes are different.
Even West End tastes good after a long hard hot day when its free :D

Went to Hahndorf on the weekend and had their beer samples over lunch. 5 butchers of beer for $22. Was very happy with a couple of them, shame I can't pronounce their bloody names. Louenbraeu and Franzsomethingorother!

Speaking of the unpronouncable. I had a good international at a mates a couple of weeks ago, forgive the spelling but it was something like scofferhoffer. From Germany i think. It had a nice strong flavour to it.

Tonight a six pack of

Mountain Goat "Highland Ale"

Ive heard so many good things of this brewery and its fair to say I feel a bit let down tonight. There is nothing wrong with the beer at all, but there also is nothing special as I was expecting, especially with the great smell. I think the biggest disappointment is the lack of a lingering "real ale" taste

Whenever I head down to LC, I'm always onto the pilsener. Every one rants about the pale, but I reckon the pilsener is where it's at.

Adelaide people are missing out just getting the bottle form of LC beers :)

In my fridge ATM;

Coopers Clear in tins. To abide by the no glass in pool area rule :lol:

Coopers Dark Ale. Will sit in the fridge til winter.

James Boag Premium.

Tiger.

and a few Schofferhofer Hefeweizen.

Nice selection SJABC- if you'd had anything other than coopers clear in tins it would have been a higher mark. Nothing wrong with Clear, just a very average drop I reakon. Bring back Coopers DB!

PS do you find half the beer foamed when opening the Clear tins?

Yep, especially when some bastard lobs one at me into the pool...

I'd love a Boags / Cascade premium to come in cans. Or even better half plastic bottles similar to this;

Anyone tried Cascade First Harvest Ale?

I read a glowing review about it a couple of years ago but could never find any in Perth until I spotted some in a Dan Murphy's store the other night. The review was spot on - a superb beer!

It seems they produce only one batch around April/May each year when the first crop of green hops comes through.

Tassie certainly punches above it's weight in terms of brewing in Australia.

If there's freebies involved, I think I might send in a resume ;)
