Is there another major modern city around that hasn't got an airport rail link?

Thanks to Uber for breaking the taxi stranglehold
Long overdue but by time they build the rail link it will be time to move the airport :)

Beggers belief that we don't have an airport rail here in Melbourne.

By the time we do, I will be pushing up daisy's.

Would’ve been handy for the upcoming Commonwealth Ga… ah never mind.

Our airport would be the closest to the city of any capital city. When younger I always thought they would move the airport to Edinburgh and sell the airport land for houses.

Victorians are stumping up $200m to help run the Glasgow games.

If it ever moved it would be miles and miles out of the CBD. Parafield runways are about half what's required for passenger jets so it would have to be way out on the plains/planes somewhere.

How much of that is going on a train line between the respective airports?

I heard the taxi industry threatened to mount a massive campaign during the next election (ala SA Ambos) & Dan caved in
(I'm not sure they would have the same effect as the ambos)

We’ve been involved in the future plans for ADL and that should see it future proofed at the current location for several more decades.

As to airports that are close to cities, believe it not some have decent sized airports literally in the middle of the city. London City is one my faves as it’s built basically on an island on the Thames and you land at eye level with the buildings in the CBD, stunning approach views
