Dumb ****! FC used to always questions questions that she thought were dumb. But I want the last 45 minutes of my life back as hers are regarded as intelligent compared to the ones I have just
answered

I dont think "why is my house taking 7 years to build?" and "Will my cat door be supplied, or should I start looking at Bunnings?" are dumb questions.

You are right there....that was just incompetence on another colleague that FC got sacked ;)

She asked many questions that could be regarded as technical by a non building person. Yesterday's saga is just plain stupid as they were not reading things correctly. Like confirming a fridge provision size with allowances to fit the actual fridge into the provision. Yet decidesit needs to go back to the exact size meaning the fridge won't fit in it anymore

Went to see the surgeon for my collarbone yesterday. Between the Xray and the surgeon appointment, I had to wait for 3 hours.

Once I got in to the surgeons office (who wasn't my normal one that actually did the surgery) this was the entire conversation.

Him - "This your x-ray?"

Me - "Yep"

Him - "You're cured. Do you play sports?"

Me - "Yeah. footy"

Him - "Give it a miss for the rest of the year. You're cured. You're free to go" (gets up and walks out the room)

I should be happy I dont have to go back. But he didn't show me anything on the x-ray, and didnt give me a chance to ask questions. I could see lines where the numerous breaks were, so not sure just how "cured" I am.

Yep, because he wasn't the original doc looks like he just didn't a shit.

Given that when I went for my post op appointments it was visual inspection show some movement in the joint and yep all looks good start physio and no need to see me again unless physio is concerned. All done and dusted inside 10 mins.

Yeah the 2 before this one were about 10 mins...this one was lucky to crack the minute mark. Ridiculous. Especially considering Id been waiting 3 hours to get in. He could've just texted me.

Many moons ago I had an appointment with a specialist up at Flinders. I did not make the appointment; it was made on my behalf as a followup after a stint in hospital. Turned up at the hospital, checked in at the reception desk. One hour later, no specialist. After 90 minutes I queried as to how soon I was going to be seen to. Receptionist replies "Dr. Arsehole * isn't in. I'll page him for you."

Might you not have paged him WHEN I CHECKED IN? Better yet, might this arsehole have noticed he had an appointment on his schedule and taken steps to MAKE IT?

Two hours approaches and the clinic closes. The reception staff all piss off, leaving us in an empty waiting room with only the sound of distant cleaning staff to keep us company.

At the 2:20 mark Dr. Arsehole casually saunters into the reception room, says "Mr. Pseudo?" as nonchalantly as possible. We follow him into his surgery where he sits down and says "so what can I do for you?"

FFS - I didn't make the bloody appointment - how about turning up to the appointments that YOU make, presumably because YOU want to follow up on my treatment?

* - may not have been his actual name

Years ago on a drunken night at my house with the footy guys I cut my hand on a photo frame
thinking nothing of it kicked on
eventually I went to a dr a week or so later and said I think there is glass in there
they said, ok we will send you for an x ray in 3 months.... I was like wtf 3 months.
I went back to the dr 3 times each time they said 3 months for the x ray
one day playing basketball my hand curled up like a hawks claw, I went to Modbury hospital, they did an x ray
the next day I had a 2.5cm piece of glass taken out of my hand, I had it in there for about 6 weeks in total.
there was a smaller piece as well, I wish I just went to the ER the first time.
Or that the dr I saw just said ok go for an x ray now.

My cat.

I just spent 3 weeks telling her she can't go outside after her constant crying...

Spent the best part of $6k making the backyard escape proof.

Opened the door this morning - cat doesn't want to go out! Ran and hid under the bed!
