yeah they told me I'd have to pay up front too and when I went troppo and pointed to my deluxe health care cover they said the steroid injection is not covered - duhhhhhh. I rang NIB and asked why I should continue to pay their exhorbitant fees if a simple think like this is not covered and they just quoted me a whole heap of BS from their operations manual.

quick update. Had the procedure done this morning and I was gobsmacked by staring at the monitor while the doc stuck the needle into my shoulder guided by the Ultra Scan doing its thing. Minimal discomfort. Five hours later my pain had pissed of and I seem to have a normal shoulder. So.......I think this procedure is very good and worth every dollar.
