Unnecessary roadworks.
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

This time of year all roadworks are necessary. They have to spend this year's budget or they'll get less next year.
By late June they'll be digging up roads at night with massive lighting arrays if there is still budget to spend.

Nightworks starting out the front of my place this Friday night. A sleepless weekend coming up, I fear.

I think the department chiefs can do whatever they like under the heading of "repairs" but anything that isn't just a "repair" needs approval and may be knocked back.

I met a similar situation in a public hospital years ago - the administrator was running around trying to persuade the medical staff and other professsional staff they needed new carpets or filing cabinets. When I quizzed him it turned out he had $100,000 to spend but anything more than $200 needed approval from above, so we couldn't use it to air condition the Geriatric ward and save lives in the summer, as as soon as it was mentioned they would have taken the money out of the budget.

Profligacy is rewarded, good management punished, in the public service.

People who bag the team that they follow and want the coach gone half way through the season, then when that team wins the big one latter the same year say that the coach is a legend and should not be sacked.

Now I hate Doctors .
Have lost weight in the past eat healthy no more junk food for me .The only junk food I eat is snags off the barbie at the footy. And I have got a reputation at work as being a snob because I will not eat Pizza that the company buys and pays for at stocktake time.Hell I wont eat birthday cake people bring in !!
All this was in effort to get my weight down fix my heart up(which I have done) get my blood pressure down etc.
This to go along with all the medications I take a day including Fish oil and calcium. I am allergic to Milk products and will throw up at the thought of eating fish (yes I know I am addicted to catching them)or drinking milk.Even stopped myself eating cheese at one stage I was addicted to eating cheese .Have had arguements about not eating spuds with my Mother inlaw cant eat them to hi in GI.
So I thought today would be a good day to go to the doc for my prescriptions.I had run out of one and it was easier than stoping after work .Different doctor
My mistake .You weigh to much got him to tell me I should be 85 kilos(yes I am alot bigger than that).you eat to much I informed him I eat much less than I used to .No you eat to much carbs eat more meat.I was perplexed I said I have gone to just eating Sultana Bran for breakfast no milk no sugar .that set him off dont eat rice bread eat more meat and eat tuna .Why dont u eat tuna beacuse I will throw up before I eat it !!!!
And yes this was after he took my BP which was up up up .
So all my no more eating junk food no spuds eating grain bread chicken etc has been to no avail.
I know have to eat more meat or protein .
And then u watch my cholesteral count go up up up if I do .For breakfast he said I should eat bacon and poached eggs yeah right at 5.15 in the morning I am going to cook bacon and eggs!!!

Bloody doctors they can do nothing about my arthritis but hell just turn anorexic and everything will be ok !!!!!!!

Not as bad as poor Mickyj's...are you sure that wasn't a psych patient with an Atkins diet fixation pretending to be a doctor...never heard a dr tell people to increase their red meat intake*...I'd definitely get a 2nd opinion.

The gap of anything up to an hour or more between the AFL site killing it's online streaming, which is done without warning and usually mid-sentence, and the resuming of 5aa's online transmission. Surely they can switch 5aa back on sooner...it's not as if they are waiting for the end of their footy programme cos it usually comes back while they are still discussing the game.

Oh yeh....and men...all of 'em....sefish pigs

JAS
